Driving to work this morning and the car came to a halt. I had run out of petrol. Now... as the warning light never came on, I never knew how low I was on fuel. Anyhow, the AA managed to sort me out and I was on my way. However, I've now noticed a tinny sound and I'm 99% sure I've fcuked the cat...
I've seen a few similar threads already on here so thought I'd have your opinions for my car...
Which do you prefer?
I do like the silver but do think the anthracite makes it look more aggressive. I know a lot of people do have anthracite Turini's and maybe the silver is the new...
It was a white 197. Are they the Cups?
Anyway, I saw one on my way to work this morning pulling into a side road next to some shops in Brookwood around 8:30am this morning. I think there's a small business park/industrial estate type of thing behind those shops and that is where this person...
Hi,
When I bought my 172 last year, it only came with the rear car mat, which was one wide one, which had a bit in the middle that joined the two. I'm assuming that's the standard mat? Anyway, there weren't any front ones and even though I've got some cheapy ones from Renault, I would like...
I had a couple of minor issues on my Ph2 172.
Anyway, there was an annoying buzz coming from the interior light location, which I was told was the climate control sensor. Anyway, I ordered a new one from Renault for around £23, fitted it this evening and voila... no more buzzing. All I had to...
We spotted a Ph2 172 on the A3 heading towards Guildford lastnight at 9:55pm. The registration was L99 MOB. This person was behind us and then overtook us and then turned left at the Hindhead lights. We were in an "S" reg (courtesey) Megane.
I have an annoying buzz in my car. When I went to see Mike and co. down at Rentech, they said it could be the interior climate sensor thing.
This morning, I found out what it was.
Where the interior light and switches are, there are two sets of small holes. The buzz is coming from the ones...
Hi,
When I took my car to Mike at Rentech last Friday, I asked him how I'd go about removing the headlight washer jets and replacing them with a plate, just like the Cup's. He said it can be a pain in the *rse job and the plates themselves are around £50 from Renault. I was like whaaat!
So...
I spotted a Ph1 silver 172 at Portsdown Hill (Portsmouth, Hants) on Friday 5th September at 12:40pm. The couple were stopping at the burger van.
The Clio had a ClioSport sticker under the Clio badge on the bootlid. It was sitting on 15" dirty Superlegerra's and the plate was Y508 HKV.
Who...
A few weeks ago, my windscreen washers decided to stop working. At first, I thought it was because I hadn't filled them up but that wasn't the case.
After putting up a thread on here, people said it's probably the washer motor. So I pulled the scuttle panel off and removed the washer motor...
On my way home this evening, I spotted a Ph1 172 in silver on the A331 (Blackwater Valley) heading towards Farnham around 6:45pm. I was stuck behind a slooow driver and he flashed me to let me overtake. Gave me the thumbs up as he cruised past too.
Who were you!?! :)
Sorry for another 'Ring spotted thread.
Anyway, a blue 182 was spotted at the 'Ring between the 15th and 18th August. I've found some pics of you on the 'Ring too...
Who are you? :)
Damo
You were spotted at the services near to Dunkerque and at the 'Ring over the weekend. You were lowered approx. 40mm on 15" black multispokes. I just managed to spot the ClioSport sticker in the bottom left of the rear windscreen. You were convoying with a blue RS Focus and an M3 CSL.
I too...
I spotted a Ph2 dark red 1.2 or 1.4 16v Clio on Tuesday (29th July) at 6:15pm on the Pirbright bends heading towards Frimley. It looked like it was lowered 50mm on 15" multispokes. Also had something like a "baby on board" sign in the rear window.
Hi,
I have no water coming out of my windscreen washers :(
The water bottle is full, well just under. Even though there isn't a fuse for the windscreen washers, I checked the one for the headlight washers and that's ok. The windscreen wipers come on when I pull the stalk to but no water...
You were spotted... well I was infront of you in Pirbright yesterday around 6:30pm.
Her registration was HN51 CLO. Looked like you were lowered. Couldn't tell much more from being infront.
My mate has linked me to the "professional" pics...
French Car Show
They're subdivided into the following categories...

For a professional photographer/company, I don't think they're very professional. But that's my...
It's time for my renewal. Well... in three weeks it will be. The thing is, I've had no reminder from Adrian Flux.
Anyway, I've been on two search engines (confused.com and moneysupermarket.com) and they've found me the cheapest quote of approx. £450, which is with esure.
So, any insurance...
Can anybody recommend any companies within Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire?
I've just been on the phone to "The Wheel Specialist" in Fareham (Hampshire) and they've given me two prices...
1. £285 (Drop the car off/Drop the wheels off with the tyres).
2. £235 (Drop the alloys off on their...
I am in need of one or two tyres. Lets just say one of them is what you could only call a "slick"
At the mo, I have 195 45 R16 Goodyear Eagle F1's on the rear and Toyo Proxes T1-S/R on the front.
The car is never used on track... well it "might" be out once this year.
It's always used...
