Honestly.... Reliablity is an issue, even on pampered cars.
BUT... They are a fantasticly fun car, enjoyable to drive, loads of power for your money and you'll find yourself making excuses to take it for a drive!
Pm BitsRus off here (check the members list)
He gets them with tyres new (don't ask where from) for about £550 iirc.
He's from Peterlee ish area so fairly local.
Otherwise everyone off here seems to want them and go for silly money.
K-tec sell them also
With it being a bigger Cup one should get decent interest. Unpainted may help, at least it doesn't limited the market but painting does cost!
Good luck
I interprit it as 'phase' quick. Renault face lifts are named in phases, ie original 172's are phase1, triangle headlamp update etc, phase2. Later cars were marginally slower for various reasons.
Before I get publicly stoned, it is only marginal
AND IT WAS MEANT TO BE A JOKE!! Fubar what did...
Was gonna post it ahead, then when it was ready drive down.
Yes, it's miles from the grim North.
Fred says he could fit it, still pretty far. Is the anything to be gained by getting Ben or Fred to fit it?? Cheers
Thanks Makavelli. 'Want that one!!'
May extend the black a bit further tho.
Was gonna get Ben to fit it so it was right, hence painting it first:(
I'm wanting to paint and get polished my spare 172 plenum cover before I get Ben @ Angelworks to wave his magic wand over it.
Has anyone painted theirs at home successfully?
Presume it'll have to be very high temp paint (does it need primer?). What have you all used? I'd like a smooth gloss...
My Iceburg Ph1.
Haven't got any decent photos yet, as I've only had it 4 months.:nono:
Bought totally standard and was going to stay that way...:o Ooops!
Very much work in progress
