it's rockwool and it is used in the building trade. i would advice you to not use it cos if you mess with it, it will just break up as it is supposed to be put between walls etc and not be disturbed. if you put in the car you'll get nasty itchy powder everywhere. autoleads do some cheap stuff.

s**t hot, i've got one that plugs into my alpine via the v-link and the sound is perfect cos it is a proper line out feed (not like these fm trany crap). Get one you'll love it.

oh right, i've been using mag tec wax, doing one panel, then another and then going back to the last one to buff. Would i get better results if i left it longer?

do you leave your car outside over night or in a garage? Cos i have to leave mine in the street, so i don't leave the wax on for very long.

i'm guessing the yellow lead could be for video. Also make sure that the eq on your ipod is turned off.

I've been told to use LUX Flakes, lather up rub on and then wipe with a towel. Not tried it yet but a few recommended it.

you will need to disconnect it so you can splice the power lead on the stereo, it's the easiest way to get power to it.
