I found *prepare for a million different opinions* that my 172 ran very very lumpy when run on 95ron petrol. Since that one and only tank full, its only ever been optimax or equivolent in europe (Vmax).
As for slow low end, they're quick once going but i'd imagine the V8 had a fair old chunk...

Never been there, dont even bother. Like in Jarhead, you have to earn it!

Defo old school, as cars grow old they expand (like most people as they age). On the plus side, it does mean there will be a smaller version coming,

Driven properly not having ABS is better. On track the ABS can be a bit of a hinderance, and only when you drive beyond the conditions can it bite on the road.
Ph2's are about for seriously cheap money for early plates. Later cars came cruise control, so if you can live without that they can...

All things you can get more cash off, but is a good price.
At £1700-£3500 , i reckon they might.
If its your fault, i'd go with what they offer. If it was another drivers fault, thats their insurance companies problem.
And i bet 70% of the people that own 172 or 182's hated the new bubble shaped Mk2 Ph2 when it first hit the streets.
As soon as they replace the current model and more people see them on the road, it will become another favorite.
