Driven properly not having ABS is better. On track the ABS can be a bit of a hinderance, and only when you drive beyond the conditions can it bite on the road. Ph2's are about for seriously cheap money for early plates. Later cars came cruise control, so if you can live without that they can...

If its a Mk2 Ph2 and on standard alloys its 195 or 205/45/16 Mk2 Ph1 is 15's on the F1 alloys. Are you on aftermarket alloys?

PE2's and Goodyear seem to be the tyre of choice on here. Given the choice i'd get 205/45/16 PE2's. Pricey, but improve the car no end

Only little things... Renault Service History? How much rubber left? (£70+ a tyre not the nicest thing to have to do straight away) How much left on the front pads? Chipped Bonnet? Dings in the rear qtrs? All things you can get more cash off, but is a good price.

At £1700-£3500 , i reckon they might. If its your fault, i'd go with what they offer. If it was another drivers fault, thats their insurance companies problem.

And i bet 70% of the people that own 172 or 182's hated the new bubble shaped Mk2 Ph2 when it first hit the streets. As soon as they replace the current model and more people see them on the road, it will become another favorite.
