I was offered £7200 for my fatty 172, 53plate on 29k.
Remember the cup was 2k odd less at POS, so it will show in the resale. Just because we know its a very capable track car, doesnt mean Joseph Public does.
I said the light was on. Keeping in mind we were travelling at this speed for a few miles and didnt lift off as soon as we realised we were near 140mph, it doesnt happen straight away.
Plus, some of the earlier cars dont have the change light anyway. I'll take a picture in a few weeks ;)
Multiples of 12k, every 3rd one being the major one. Think 72k is THE service though and it costs alot.
Costs vary from £110 upto £250 for the minor sevice depending on dealer and whether you supply own oil, have induction kit/filter etc.
ITG or Green panel filters in the std box is the way ahead. TBH, nothing you put on singularly will show any difference, its all placebo until remapped in conjunction with other mods.
At 50mph, optimax will get you 50mpg+, 70mph you'll get 40ish and at 80 its around 35mpg.
99 & 95Ron always fuels seem to drop the MPG. At £2 per litre 102ron is at little expensive for casual driving, it would cost £90 for a tank full and i doubt the clio would see much benefit.
From my experience, the ITG had no noticable gains in power and very little in the way of noise. People claim they rev freer, but that might just be placebo.
Best way of looking at it is they might be a little better than std, and will last many times more. Basically paying for themselves.
As per renault on the RS forum, the car Does not have or need one. If the Test station fails it, advise them there is something in their handbook regarding the cup (or the other option is to get 2 people in the back and it should pass then) lol
The basic models have the 'normal' intermittant stalks without the functionless adjuster.
Surely you can just buy the basic one and replace the pointless one?
14mpg and a emptying a full tank on a renaultsport day at Oulton. If its only a few hours on track i wouldnt worry if you arrive with half a tank.
What car is it?
For the money they are the best thing out there. What ever the marginal gains, the long life justify the cost. Slighty freer revving might have just been placebo though (for everyone, including myself).
