Go on then, why would supercharging a clio make it understeer and handle differently to a normal clio? As I already said you'd have to approach bends more gingerly because obviously you'd be aproaching them faster.
Or is that why the supercharged hill climb/rally clio's with suspension setups...
Exactly this.
Give up on this thread now, people just aren't using any commen sense.
Depends what you mean by drivability and as for handling, charging doesn't change the handling what so ever, obviously you have to approach bends more gingerly because your going to be entering the corners alot...
Yes, the gearbox is very capable. Not saying they are the best gearbox's in the world, but capable. Speaking through experience of owning a 172 Cup track car, 182 and now a 172 ph1 turbo. If your destroying your gearbox's with ease then well, you drive like a phaggot.
Stereotypical CS view on FI clio's. Because a couple of people have had unsuccessful builds on clio probably due to things like going too much boost on standard internals, now all of a sudden every charged clio is inevitably going to blow up? There are actually alot of charged clio's that are...
So what car will you buy? I'm sure we can all pass our judgement on that too. It's a fun thin opinion.
I wasn't justifying the price by my comment, I was saying it for the fact that some people like to force opinion by saying charging a clio is ruining one, and coming from someone who's never...
Maybe he had more plans for it? Diff later on? A car like this is an on going project, unless you have tonnes of money to lay down at that instant.
There isn't an upgrade on standard gearbox, only a longer ratio'd DCI box.
I had an accident back in January , some t**t wrote off my 182, admitted responsibility at the scene and then two weeks later I got a phone call claiming I was responsible and the third party had a witness against me (even though noone was there) obviously one of his mates, and the whole claim...
I drive a 260bhp ph1 turbo as a daily, a 210bhp turbo clio vs a 210bhp ITBs clio would accelerate low rpm quicker due to instant power from the ITBs however the turbo's clio would catch due to the fact it will have more torque but low stuff defiantly ITb's will be better trust me I've driven...
