na, just preped it the same as anything else as it already had a layer of laquer on it. i didnt want to break through the laquer as some helmets react with the paints and it weakens them.
heres another bit of painting ive been doing lol. not really an update on the car as such but more of a step in the direction im heading in.
i plan on doing a few track days when i get chance but to do track days you need a lid. so i have aquired one from a co worker that has only been used...
see, now im swaying more towards a custom dyno one now lol.
i emailed torque of the devil and they said they can put a super chip on for an extra 9bhp. i didnt even know you could get a super chip for the clios.
i am swaying this way as it doesnt look like you get much more from a live map with very few mods and at least that way i have a laptop and stuff to show for my money rather than a few bits of paper (that i can always get another day anyway lol)
if the results of live mapping it are alot more...
was just wondering if anyone would give their opinion on this.
my 172 has a de cat, 2.5" straight through system and a pipercross panel filter so the mods arnt that much so would i get any more benefit from taking it somewere to get a map done over getting an rs tuner and doing it myself?
the...
yeah, if i go then ill help out no probs matey. i did say to my self this time that if i had done some track time, then it would have been a better day so ill probly get on the track to make it worth it.
well it doent look like im going to get much more out of it with out spending silly money so i think i may go for some coilies and a remap instead.
not sure wether to go for an rs tuner or go and get it done properly. both would cost about the same to me as i would need to buy a laptop too if...
£1700 i thought id be looking more at £1200 at the most . maybe thats a no then as for not much more i could get itb`s.
think meybee ill get some coil overs and maybe a carbon bonnet instead lol.
just wondering who has had this done and wether you thought it was worth the money. its somthing im going to be looking into soon but im not sure wether the money its going to cost would be worth the amount of gain i would get from it.
i also understand that there are a few options like piper...
i agree. mapping your car so it spits flames is almost as bad as having an electric dump valve lol. if you get performance with it then its all good but i wouldnt get it purely for that reason as i would rather have a faster car with no flame than a slower car that does.
it sounds nice and punchy, well it did untill i stripped the back out lol. no amp, sub or stelth shelf in there now. was thinking about selling it all but im not sure.
