I too live in West London and its doubled my insurance for my 172. Did try a quote today for a brand spanking new Clio V6 and it was £850 but I cant justify the cost of a V6 really.
Heh, thanks Wongy. I too would go for a dealer car, mainly because there is one reason people buy these kind of cars and its not for shopping :D
Just to put you at rest, my engine was originally diagnosed as knackered (after only 2,500miles from new) but was later told it was an issue with...
Red for me and its sooooo tempting. I think the insurance will put me off.
sh*t, just found out its £850 insurance on a brand new one! :D
No, I cant do it - cant......
Id love to know what they mean - im sure its some sort of PDI/quality control (Did I say QC?) but would be interesting if its benck tesing etc
Is it a difference between UK sourced and imports? Mine is UK sourced and has the dots. Just wondering.
Yeah, I got the Connects2 adapter to. I however DID remove the dash (not necessary) so that I could route my changer cables to underneath the passenger seat. Made it easier to install the headunit as there isnt much space, I was also able to fix the connects2 box to the side ot the remaining...
As RT-ED said, there is a great guide in the DIY guide. One thing is (As I foillowed this) the the 3 screws under the steerng column I found that after I removed them that they didnt really need removing after all.
Didnt want to get anything that might damage the spoiler etc. Coming around to the idea of the roof rack style as they would be easier to store. Does it fit in the boot?
If its a plastic wing then Id probably say its new wing time as the glue could well have melted the wing :( Hope you get it sorted, thats not a nice thing to happen.
Any reason you dont like the one on the back HC? The more I think about it the roof one makes more sense if the bikes fit ok as 99% of the time it will not be on the car and I live in a London flat with not much room !!
Trouble it, it will mostly be motorway miles with the bikes so I dont...
Any reason for sale? Id prefer one to fit on the back of the car rather than the roof but maybe the roof one might be a better idea as smaller to store when off the car.
How easy it is to fit/remove? Im guessing it doesnt damage the car in anyway either?
For 11K you *could* be looking at new Cup or 172 from car supermarket.
The difference it the cup is lighter (was only in modial blue but I have read on here that its possibe to get it in iceberg silver??) has different wheels. No leather, air-con and other "luxuries"
Just seen this picture when looking at clio accessories - youve all got your nets wrong !!!

Ok, not sure where this should go (the post - not the rack) and dont flame me for wanting a rack for the clio but...
Do reanult sell a bike rack that will fit on the back of a 172 perfectly? Also, do they come in iceberg :D
I think the trouble is not the need for a fascia(?) to allow a stereo to fit but that the surround of the unit itself is black and stands out a bit, would be great if it was the same grey as the 172 interior. See pic below (I want the black bit grey, this is not my head but it gives the idea)...
Hi, I know this wont help but my 172 used to have this starting problem, when it went to Renault for other issues I mentioned it, since it came back Ive not had the problem, I dont what they did (if anything) but it doesnt do it anymore.
Also, Ive heard there is a ECU upgrade which reduces the...
Heh, I wish I was young, im 28 and LivVic quoted me >£1000 when I can get it for about £600 from elephant (and thats only because I live in London otherwise it would be about £300) I guess Ill stick with Elephants as I doubt Id mod my car too much before the warranty runs out.
