By the time youve added an alarm, window etching and 3 years AA cover your import doesnt look as attractive. Not to mention the stigma that still exists with imports. Go to a broker instead and get a UK car or challenge the dealer to get near a brokers price - like I did.
Just sell your car to the dealer then and buy a 182 from a broker. Youll still save money as the discount from a Renault dealer wont be more than the difference in the broker price.
Brokers will offer the cup options but I doubt the car supermarkets will offer anything other than the standard...
Im interested in the no-bodyroll flat handling described in the review. I think my Cup has too much bodyroll and Im guessing the normal 172 is worse.

Thats why Id never buy a silver CUP (even though they look great) Even the people on here who are Clio enthusiaists STILL dont know they came in silver. Imagine when you come to sell it, "No really, it is a CUP..honest"
Sorry, in answer to the question. It depends what you want, I dont know what sort of Subaru you can get for 10k but it will cost a lot more to run, both in servicing and fuel. And is more likely to get nicked.
