    you do the work, strip all the windows, rubbers, plastics etc out and you'll get a good price, but black to white will be a ball ache, and you#ll want all the insides painting, so its doors, bonnet and boot off etc. not worth the hassle imo

    could be a flood damaged cat B, has to be a CAT B if its for spares only, some company will be in the s**t if this goes back on the road, insurance companies insist they stay onsite and are broken for spares you can get a log book though and legally put it back on the road after a VIC test...

    if you are any good with a few spanners take the blower out and test it, if it works then its a fuse or relay hope this helps

    have you checked the fuses? the fans are generally located under the plastic scuttle panel under the window washers. simple job really, has there been any leaks inside the car? is it overheating?

    cheers Henry, gunna get back under it and have a look for the serial numbers, i did think about changing the track rods originally and leave the existing rack in place as one rod was bent, just couldn't get it out, and by god how hard i tried. any suggestions on this? thanks in advance

    Is there a difference in the racks? the reason being i have just changed mine with one out of a 182, and i've had to wind the track rod ends out a fair old bit please tell me this is not so, and that all 172 - 182ff racks are the same:dead: i ain't goin through te pain of lyin on my back...

    takin them off is a piece of pi*s. fastening them to the hub, now there's the issue you'll need to struggle with:rasp: some wd40 and some spanners, take two mins

    we all have to start somewhere, and this is bog basic stuff, av a set of spanners/socket set and WD40 at the ready and job done, don't let any one put you off, my 5 year old could manage it if he was strong enough;)
