Just need a bit of advice, thinking about buying a second hand enclosed induction kit. I've seen this Simota Induction kit, but never heard of the manufacturer before
Are they any good? and how much do they retail for new?
Its all about the weight, but I gotta say my half leather does look pretty:) , you'll be ok buyin private if you do your checks properly, and it'll be cheaper, who knows you might find a trusted forum member with a car for sale, at least then you'll know its been cherished
Being a Blackburn lad, I know the area well, and unfortunately my job involves working on those estates, no doubt it was the little scummy chavs off there. I would av chased em down and kicked their asses
But so long as your cars safe thats the main thing
Check that all the panels line up correctly, and the doors are straight, always good idea to take a close look at the rubber seals around windows and inside of arches for signs of over spray when its been painted, but a good HPI check may reveal any serious accident damage.
My cars a P1 with 36k on the clock and the exhaust is knackard, if the seller tells you the car is well fast and it beats all that he has raced then walk away, you want one with a good service history and a mature driver like me;)
Gotta agree, the wheels look terrible, but they'll fetch money on e-bay.
Cars a re better with a service history, it gives you piece of mind, but even the best looked after cars can go wrong, just take it for a real good test drive.
I'm affraid Psycological pricing won, I just serviced my car with the Castrol RS on sunday, cost me £35.00 :( . Damm expensive
Guess I shoulda consulted with you guys first, my mistake and saved some coin in the process.

Hi all, i've just been offered a full scorpion s/s exhaust for a hundred quid, but its from a MK2 clio 172, mines a Mk 1, hence the question, will it fit?
How are the Scorpion systems on the clio, any gud?
Thanks for that. I just keep getting a niggling feeling about it all. But my bro's a vehicle sprayer an knows his stuff. He assures me its not a huge thing to worry about but obviously detracts from the value.
Just have to wait an see:banghead:
I forgot to mention that the car i'm buyin is a Cat D damaged. It only has 36k, and from the pics of the steering wheel and seats its immaculate, it had a bump on the rear quarter:rolleyes: , but you can't tell. I've negociated a price of 3200 for it. What do you all think? The guy i'm buyin it...
Its silver in colour, maybe its nothing, just the fact that it gave a number made me think it might be a limited edition or sumthin, its only done 36K so i can have sum fun in it without worrying bout the mileage piling on
Cheers Rob, Ive been an avid GTI6 club member for some time, but after a few beatings I knew it was time to change, just don't know a whole lot about the 172 clios though yet. Can't wait to pick it up:)
