    3.5k on a 172 cup, spend abit on mods: suspension, seats, brakes etc and keep the change. You could buy a 182 but it would take up most, if not all of your budget.

    exactly... unless your initial plans were to mod anyway then its all a waste, it seems that you're doing it because you have the money to do it rather than doing it because you intended to.
