im waiting for one to come through the post an getting it fitted next week, only cost me £40 so should look and sound pretty smart. As said above no point in spending a fortune on small engines though tbh
below where??? Think it would look alright depending on the colour of ya car which we cant see.
Imo, by doing it that way it makes it look alot smarter because ur beaking the colour up instead of making it all the same
Have admin come up with any plans of how their gona be parked up? is ti gona be like all mk1's, then valvers, willys, 172s, 182s in colour order??? or just chucked in randomly?
as above, make sure the windscreen is covered in fairy liquid then whack the strip on, use a credit card to squeeze all the bubbles out then after about half an hour of doing that let it dry for 10 minutes and go over it again to get all the water out preventing any further bubbles. After that...
Head unit (cd player). Theres a few different ones in the mk1's some have rev gagues some dont, some have oil gagues some dont etc etc. Ill try get some pics of differnt ones in me mates cars and send them u.
I used to have a clifford alarm on my mk1 and had nothing but problems with it, not sure of the model but think it was pretty bog standard however it randomly went off, keys needed re coding 4 times (everytime i had to do this i was either in college car park or works so looked like a nob!) ...
Thats a pure smart car and gutted its ended up like that, doesnt look to be anything salvageable on there either! every part seems to be fukd in some way!
u sure after fitting the sub uv screwed the positive and negatives back onto the battery properly?? cause surely if there is a weak connection it will cut out. part from that very obvious solution iv not a clue lol
^^ HOW DARE U! I TYPED IT FIRST!
ahh rite, that must av bin wat i ad on me old mk1, was a cobra system, had an alarm and an immobiliser, that went wrong all the time though lol
Think im safer going for the complete scrapping of the immobiliser for the time being.
wats the difference in categories??
A mate of mine may be disconnecting the immobiliser for me tommorow as hes amazing at his auto electrics, so mite just get it disconnected for now and look into gettin a proper alarm wen funds are available
Im not too sure how to get to the rollers, iv looked before but think uv gotta pull the roof lining down to get to it. Is it posisible just to replace the clip?
Renault have just told me its gona be £211 for a new decoder box inc 2 new keys and £150 labour!!!! thats a third of what i paid for the car!!!
Anyone know any other solutions?? Is there anyone who knows anyway of disconnecting the immobiliser or any auto electricians thatl do it??
id presume that after 250 have been ordered itll just stop working so wont that mean well all get them? And what exactly were u doing on the BP website?? lol think u need to get out more
same problem with mine mate, one clip has snapped so i can only shut the passenger side one. Never really bothered me to be honest mate so not looked into replacing it, was gna just take the glass out and tint it black so u cant see through it anyway. But if u find out if a new one is available...
Iv just done it but for some reason when i click submit the page just goes blank.
OOps, just realised if i scroll up it says "thank you for registering etc etc" which means iv just ordered 3 lol
