How much is there to be gained from running an electric PAS pump?
On my race car we ran a saxo pas pump as there wasnt the option of running the standard 182 pump.
It would be easier to use the standard pump now I'm changing to a 182 engine, but is there much to be gained from not running it...
The key for a Clio I have has been lost.
How straight forward is it to put a lock set in it, and to put a new barrel transponder to have it programmed to the ECU?

Have seen a few people on here refurb headlights after they have gone cloudy.

I don't know how people are coming up with these crazy figures. When we built my rallycross car the inlet cost less than two grand with ecu, jenveys, trumpets, linkage, bigger injectors, manifold air box etc!!

Yes, after the bedding in process it slipped on the first race start it did at Mallory Park. The engine had issues half a lap later so we didnt go any further, and the result was very similar to yours.

I have exactly the same wear on a Helix paddle clutch that has been fitted for 35 miles. I will get in touch with Helix about it too when I get two mins, would be interesting to see what they say to you if you speak to them first.

Hi all, does anyone know of the differences between the 182 and 172 engines, for thw ph1 and ph2s etc etc.
I am looking to build a competition engine, with a spare and need to know which is the best to use.

Having a lot of experience trying to extract power from the K4M 1.6, which has been less than easy, what are the 182 / 172 engines like to tune.
Is it considerable easier? Lots of off the shelf parts available?
What sort of reasonable power can you expect from one with throttle bodies, proper...
Who do people suggest to use to have porting and poilishing done / valve seats cutting etc on Renault engines?
I had a K4M head done by Ben at Angelworks about four years ago, fairly stressful experience but got a good product in the end.

Oh, and for seam welding it is best to do the whole thing, but if your not going to just look at the structural areas, around pick up points, mounts and chassis rails / legs.
