Hi all.
Please could someone tell me if the Twingo 2 rear beam on a 1.2 car, would be the same as the beam on any of the ph2 Clios, specifically the 1.2 / 1.4 or 1.6??
Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help,
Hal
I can't find an uprated Clutch Release Bearing anywhere for the 1.6 Clio, or the 172 etc. So, on my Super1600 car have been using a standard bearing with a padel clutch and dog box.
What is happening is the release bearing is cracking with use, since its only plastic.
Does anyone know of an...

Here we have a set of four Silverstone FTZ SPORT TYPE-RR tyres.
They are 195/50 R15
These are hardly used. x2 still have the writing printed on the tread face of the tyre, and the other two are half worn maximum.
Can be sent anywhere in the country for £20...
Carbon fibre is a doddle to drill though. See pics of my race car on www.halridge.com to see where I put my bonnet pins. If you need any advice then get in touch.

I work at Magnum, we could make a tank guard no problem, would just need to make a mold. If you could find out if a tank is the same as the one in the twingo II, because we are just about to make one of those.
Let me know!
I run a Super1600 Clio on a very small budget. Everything takes time to find the correct parts and do things the cheapest ways etc. We made my own inlet and exhaust manifolds when I first built the car. For the exhaust we adapted a 172 one to fit, im sure we could do it again if someone wanted...
Cheers lads. Should have explained better. This was after a couple of brand new pumps, pickup is find. Oil gets changed after every 40 miles etc.
Hutchie, could you tell me very specifically which pumps from which engines and years would be the same. I assume a DCI one might produce more...
I know its unlikley but worth asking if anyone else has experience of this?
Got a K4M race engine, and it suffers from really low oil pressure.
Has anyone else got any experience of this? Is there a different pump you can use for better pressure, without dry sumping it?
Any advice much...
My 1.6 16v K4M Clio is eating starter motors. We can only putting it down to the forged engine having too much compression for them to handle.
Doesn anyone know if any of the Deisel start motors will fit on a k4m gearbox? (JC3 i think)
Cheers

Hi.
Thats very interesting! That email must have been from a few years ago. Renault have long since stopped developing the K4M for a S1600 Clio. That programme ended a while ago.
My engine is waste of time below 4000rpm, as that email suggests.
Do you know anyone who does solid lifters for the K4M?
We revved it to 8,800 rpm last year before retarding the ignition and had no problems with the lifters.
You need to drill a hole through the floor and use a stress plate behind to bolt the harness eye into.
They need to be fitted in a rearward direction from the holes in the seat, so they are pulling you back into the seat. If you need any stress plates etc send me a PM.
Cheers
Rev limit is 8,250, it stops making power after that. We had it on the rollers for a lot of hours.
I have a dyno graph but would have to scan it into computer.
Compressions is 11:1 i think
I race a S1600 Clio in the European Rallycross Championship.
We have got everything spot on now apart from the power from the engine.
We can't seem to get over 160bhp really. A rough spec of my engine is below.
- Lightened / balanaced crank and flywheel.
- Forged Con Rods
- Forged...
In Liams defence hes the only person who has beaten everyone in the ERC hands down in the last year...you can't argue with that! He can drive!!! He might have the money, but those that go on about the money are just jelous!!!
Anyway, whos coming to watch the ERC at Lyddent this weekend? We...
