Well, just got my car back from its 36k and belt change. I can actually tell it has been serviced. Everything just feels a little bit tighter and smoother. As it should after a service I suppose. Car was fine, everything ok except the reverse light switch which needed to be replaced. So...
Car is at the dealers today for its 36k and cambelt change. Will put them on on Sunday if the weather isnt too bad. Already fitted my new HeadUnit, got a K&N panel filter to go in when i collect it from the garage.
My wheels just arrived, so here's a picture of one of them, have to say I think they look lush!
They are brand new. Parts look scuffed or scraped on the pics but its just condensation on the rims from being bought into the nice warm flat from the snowy outside.
Well, my MK2 Ph2 1.6 is in for its 36k today, and this is what I got for my courtesy car:
So i thought I would write a small review. Won't have much time to drive it as I have to wait in for some deliveries today, but I did give it an extended drive back from the garage first thing...
Wanted a stealth as I didnt want the boy racer look, also went for the sports rather than the supersports as I just wanted something that sounded more sporty without being overloud. Anyway, time will tell with regards to the sound of this.
I did consider them in white but wasnt sure how they would look on my car. Probably look good on a black car like yours though.
Silver fits in with the future plans I have for the car. Gonna colourcode side bump strips with silver bullets ala RS Clios.
Don't worry, when its all fitted and...

I am looking to buy an Alpine head unti so I can have something that looks a bit more like it belong in the car ie black with amber illumination.
Anyway, I already have an iso adaptor fitted to my jvc HU, will this work with an Alpine? As none of the sites I look on seem to have a wiring...
NOt too much of a trek for me, I only live 6 miles away! Didnt think the extra distance through to inverness was worth it as I need to drop the car off before going to work.
NOt sure about the 1.2 engine, but service schedule for timing/cam belt is actually 5 yrs or 72k. However, if the car is used for short journeys and stop start motoring they recommend changing it at 36k.
Aux velt should be checked at 18k.
I prefer not to take the chance, as the potential...
Thats my main worry because I have heard so many horror stories about other dealerships. Pretty impressed with them so far though. When I was booking it in they asked me if they had had the car for any work before and I said possibly by the prev owner. When the girl on the service desk put in...
Just booked my 1.6 in for its 36k service and requested full belt change as well. Full belt kit inc both belts and seals is coming out at 309.20. So I would say pretty accurate price for yours I would have thought.
Does anyone know where I can get one for my 2003 1.6 16v? Have seen one somewhere before, silver alloy with engraved Renault logo on top, but can't remeber ho made it or who was selling it.
I have a new engine cover on the way and want something nice to sit next to it rather than the crappy...
Well, its booked in for Thursday. 36k service with aux and cam belt change for £488.90. Fook me!
Can't wait to get the courtesy car to thrash it to work and back.
Nice one, cheers Fred. Won't be me doing it, will be a Renault dealer. Just nice to know what they should be using so I can make sure it appears on the final receipts.
This relates to a rs clio
i can do better than that
part number - 7701476675
£136.74 +vat

I don't think colour should make a difference either. But am pretty sure it does when it comes to cars. Take two cars exactly the same, only difference being the colour to a garage to trade in, and the one that is the most desirable colour will be worth more because it will be easier to sell.
Its not as clear cut as it being worth more because it's black. Its the fact that to get one in the same condition and the same car - ie black, its gonna cost more because there are a lot less available and they attract a higher price because of this?
I would say the fact that only 117 of them were registered means it is worth a bit more. Think how many of those have been written off already in one way or another, and the fact that the rest probably aren't availble to buy. Its going to be difficult to get one in black to replace yours.
