Thanks Fred.
Thought they would look good as they will sit better in the arches i.e not tucked so far in. Was a little concerned that there isnt enough space towards the suspenion etc to allow for the extra 6.2mm.
Think I will have to get the ruler out to check before I order them though.
I a looking to buy some OZ alloys, either Super Ts or Ultra Leggys.
My current wheels are 15x6j renaults with et43
The OZs are 16x7j with et37.
By my calculation this means the following:
Outside edge of the wheel will be 18.2mm further out than with the regular alloys.
Inside edge...
There is one in my local town, about 6 miles away who do actaully seem to know what they are talking about in the few dealings I have had with them. The next closest is about 45 miles away, but thats not too far, so will def compare prices. Strange they can vary as they are the same company...
Hope you get sorted soon then mate. Gonna ring renault when I have the cash and discuss the cost of getting all of the above done. Planning on providing my own oil, sparkplugs, filters etc as i can get them cheaper from Halfords with my trade discount card.
It's a downer living this far...
Ah ok, fair dos. I had been thinking of getting a 172, but weighed up extra petrol costs, insurance, servicing etc and it would be too much of a struggle.
I know its gonna be expensive, but figured, may as well get them done when I have the cash. How much did it cost when you had your 1.6?
ANd how is the 172 going?
Thats strange then, if i get a quote from them with aftermarket alloys and lowered suspension, there is more than £300 difference. Not saying your not telling the truth, but might pay to double check mate.
My 1.6 16v is sat on 34,450 miles at the moment, and turned 4 yrs old just before Christmas. So technically it's due its 36k/4 yr service.
I was thinking of getting this done in the next weeks or so and just wanted to check a cuple of things.
Does the price of the servicing include the...
Offset on my 1.6 Dynamique wheels is ET43, should tell you somewhere on the wheels what the offset is, either beneath centre cap or smewhere on inside face of wheel.
got my copy from Tescos on way to work, sweet, also noticed the White PH1 rep (chris's?) and another car from here that i think i recognise, cant remeber whos it is and my mags at work, but think it was a valver/williams with orange wheels.
Glad you're ok, looks like one hell of a crash, and at least its one that you can talk about down the pub and be thankful that you're both ok.
Are those lexus rear lights? It's a bit of a drastic method to decide you want rid of them!
not meaning to hijack, but i was behind an ABT badged Golf GTI on the drive through to Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago, sounded immense and went like the proverbial off a shovel
I managed a very pleasing 46mpg over the 287 mile trip home one friday afternoon. This included some travelling at 50 mph behind slower moving traffic until there was a safe place to overtake, a few miles of 90mph blasting to try and make up time, and a fair few minutes of sitting in traffic at...
how would it be a con? i.e how would he get away with it? 'Cos i know i wouldnt hand over any money before i actually had the car, so how do these cons work exactly?
Yeah i realise that, thanks for the suggestion though. Its more a case of the way the wiper flings the muck onto the side of the car though. Guess its just winter though, lol
It annoys me as i hate having a dirty looking car and its impossible to keep it clean or even half clean at this time...
The paintwork has been a bit swirly since i got it, and would really like to have it sorted at some point.
Didnt realise that the SRP would be removing the EGP, does that mean also that two coats of SRP is a bit pointless?
Does anyone else have this problem? When i use my wipers and washer jets, the wiper blades fire s**t loads of water onto the passenger side window leaving it streaky and dirty, also the top right hand corner of the windscreen gets the same treatment, along with the obviously unswept area in the...
Since i got my car in May of this year I was washing it religiously evry week using the follwing method:
Rinse using a hose
2 bucket method using lambswool mitt and AG Bodywork Sampoo conditioner
Rinse down with clean water
Dried using Megs water magnet drying towel
2 x coats of AG SRP
2 x...
