Bit confused as to what gearbox i require for my 172.
unfortunately got rid of the old one, without looking at the code.
im guessing its a speedo driven jc5 130?
anybody able to shed anylight on this.

Gents I have removed AC and PAS from my track car.
Looking at it I need a new mount for the alternator and a lot smaller belt. What options are open to me here?

Gents after some advice regarding EPAS.
Recently converted by 1.6 k4m to a 172, and the last remaining issues to sort out is the steering. Obviously the plugs on the 172 loom steering ECU won't fit the 1.6 steering ECU so I'm guessing I need a 172 ecu.
Or option b is to cut the plugs off the...
after some advice a what fuel pump to run.
currently building a 172 rally / track car, and im after a return less system ideally as carbon canister has been removed etc.

Replacing brake lines on the clio using a 1.6 master cylinder and splitting the front brakes.
The two holes on the master cylinder seem to be different sizes.
M10, M12 at a guess anyone shed any light on this for me.

After some advice regarding who people use to build their engines on here?
I'm quite confident with most things except timing, and changing piston rings, bearings etc...
Ideally looking at doing this at the end of summer as the car is under going a full nut and bolt...
I am currently converting my 1.6 K4M into a 172 and need some guidance on the following.
What's the difference between 1.6 and 172 lower wishbone Arms??
Can I mount these onto the 1.6 subframe, and use Strongflex bushes, or do I need a 172 subframe.
Will I need 172 coilovers as I'm guessing...
After some advice, im planning on running a twingo 133 engine instead of my K4M clio version, with a few extra mods, balanced flywheel, uprated CAMs, and a bit of head porting.
the real querries I have is that the original engine in the clio was a non VVT one, so will my current ECU still run...

I'm looking at building a K4M engine with some upgraded parts to include, Cat Cams, lightened flywheel, some head work, and an inlet solution.
Just checking the compatibility of other parts available and other solutions open to me.
It's for a 1600cc Rally car, on a budget.

I have a k4m Clio 1.6 16v engine and looking at swapping it for the twingo 1.6 K4m 16v engine.
Just a better starting point for my 1600 rally project.
Is there any size differences, does it need a different ECU to run it or are they a simple plug and play...

I'm aware that I need to weld a 3mm plate under the feet as per MSA regs, however I've seen so many different versions.
