If it's made of cheese and you eat it do you still get a refund?
I'm with the majority here anyway. Refund in order, before it gets even more out of hand. No way it should have got this far IMO, the seller should have resolved it way beyond this point before offending an entire forum!
It can't be loud because my old fart of a Dad moans about every noise in the world but he hasn't moaned about my car. My old one he did, my brothers he does, but not my Clio.
If you can find a member locally off here with a yozza who'll take you out for a run so you can hear for yourself then...
f**k me, I can see why Fred gets pissed off with people always going on about Yozza's being loud.
It's not loud unless you're driving through a tunnel at 6000 rpm with the windows open. Normal driving around town/on the motorway/on country lanes/tbh any type of road it isn't obtrusive or...
Mine was using a lot of fuel and failing on emissions test, I knew I had one knackered lambda and the car had been running slightly cooler than normal so I had the thermostat, coolant temp sender and both lambdas replaced at the same time as I didn't have the time to be arsing about trying each...
I have to come in here and say something about the yozza, I've had mine a few weeks now and it's not loud unless you're really trying. Normal driving it sounds different to the standard (in a good way) but it's not obtrusive in the slightest. Motorway is fine too. Barely any louder than the...
Mine's standard at the moment, keep having half arsed ideas of doing some mild modifications but I doubt I'll do anything as I like how it looks now and I do a fair amount of miles so less comfortable etc would be a pain in the arse.
Except exhaust. Mines got holes, so something is going to...
Cool thanks, that gives me some ideas at least although it has crossed my mind that the exhaust could be making the knocking noise. It's fucked and the mounts are also fucked and it's dropped, so hoping it's that which needs sorting anyway.
The clock thing - the whole display just goes black...
My car has a few, er, interesting habits. They're beginning to piss me off to the point where I'm getting seriously hacked off with the damn thing. Just wondered if someone could point me in the direction of some fixes hopefully.
Problem 1: Sometimes when I start the car it dies as soon as...
I think it depends which lambda it is as to whether it affects mpg, I had an intermittent problem with the post cat one which put the light on from time to time but never affected mpg, then the pre cat one died (but it turned out the thermostat and temp sender unit also needed replacing) and the...
I've done almost 5500 miles in 12 weeks since I got mine... 62,000 miles now. I'm in 2 minds about whether I sell it next year or just run it until it dies, lol.
I had Porsche stuff last year and it froze for a past time - different car though.
God knows what's in mine currently but it doesn't seem to freeze! It was in there when I bought it though so I don't have any more.
Anyone else had this? Just drove into work, and the whole time the rear wiper was merrily wiping away, even though it was switched off. Very odd!!!
Guessing the easiest thing to do is to whip the fuse out for now to stop it - but just wondering what could be causing it if anyone has any...
Tbh, out of those 2, I'd pick the Nimbus. And I don't do silver cars!
I love the looks of the 197 in general though. A big part of me wishes I'd just blown all my cash on one instead of being sensible and putting some away for a rainy day and getting the 182, lol.
My battery is definitely getting lazy, other than that to be fair to the Clio it hasn't skipped a beat. And it's a 6 year old battery so I guess it's done it's time.
Having spent several weeks being a bit disappointed with it, I'm chuffed it's done so well in the crappy weather. Took me...
Exhaust is rusting on both backboxes, and the baffles are gone in the middle section. It's just gone through the MOT as an advisory but it needs doing soon ish.
Caliper pin was seized and the car failed the MOT on brake imbalance until it was sorted.
I've had mine 11 weeks.
2 x Lambdas
Coolant Temp Sender
Thermostat
Caliper Pin/brake clean up.
Also it needs an exhaust (possibly mounts, although previous owner said they'll only break anyway...), and the battery is under suspicion.
I'm mildly disappointed.
I smoke, but not in the car or my house. Or any other thinking about it, only seem to smoke outside. I even have issues with people getting in my car when they've only just put a fag out.
Managed to just clip a wheel on a kerb a couple of weeks ago, does anyone know the paint code/best match to touch it up for now? I'll get it properly refurbed in the Spring but with the pants weather on it's way I don't really see the point at the moment :(
It's a 182 Cup Pack wheel.
Thanks...
Cool, hopefully the sliders just need a clean up on the one side then :) The MOT guy did offer to have a look at it there and then but unfortunately I had to get back to work.
At least I know what they do now as well :D
I'm hoping not caliper issues as I imagine that could get expensive...
How would pads get contaminated? Is that a common issue?
The tester said something about a slider possibly needing cleaning or a new kit, I know nothing about brakes, would this seem likely?
I'm just praying it's going...
