sod the life....well for a while anyway!
& wheres that price from?
This is from BBPTs website;
BIG BRAKE CONVERSION / BILLET 4 - POT CALIPERS (310mm)
£680.00
Club discount would bring that down a fair bit too.....10% at BB isnt it?
Mine were good enough (still are really).....
I just want to be able to outbrake F1 cars lol! :p
Drilled discs are cr*p imo, theres no need for the additional cooling that the holes give, it just means less disc contact with the pad.
They supply extension brackets for the calipers, so yes they fit striaght on more or less. Standard size is 259mm, so uprated 285mm discs and pads should slow you down a bit quicker.....
Dont bother will rear discs/pads, they do so little braking you wouldnt notice the upgrade.
Have a look on K-Tecs and BBPTs websites.
They both do big brake conversions (285mm) fairly cheap, as they use the standard caliper.
Im getting a 310mm 4pot conversion soon hopefully......
I loved my ph2 alloys, but my 16" momos are much better. Look a lot bigger, dont see the need for 17"s cos they look plenty big enough.
Didnt notice any difference is acceleration after I put them on, only a slighty harder ride due to the smaller tyre profile.....
Ive cleaned out the odd bit of oil in a couple of the chambers, but theres not enough to cause problems. Still does it straight after.....
Cant be cr*p petrol, been using optimax for 16months ever since I bought it.
Wheres the injection computer Jay? Does seem worse when it rains, although...
There seems to be a lot of us on here that have this problem, that the revs suddenly drop to about 500rpm on idle and then pick back up, and then repeats.....
Has anyone actually cured it if they had this problem?
So far, Ive replaced;
Lambda Sensor (twice - 1st time with a universal one...
My valver had a very nice noticable difference when I fitted my de-cat.
Peak power and torque were only up around 1bhp and 1lb/ft but both were peaking 300rpm earlier. Mid range gains therefore showed gains of upto 5bhp and 5lb/ft.
