have you tried mytyres?
Some of the stories they come out with in tyre fitting shops are utter b****cks! Even when you buy online and go to a tyre place to get it fitted for a tenner they are always adamant they could have done it cheaper and the tyre you have bought is dog s**t..makes me laugh!
good man - its a decent bit of kit
As said above once you get the spanner for the top of the mounts there is nothing stopping you giving it a go to undo with the car on the ground - failing that you can take it to the garage. You might not even need the allen key in place to crack it...
also something like plus gas or super slacks is much better than WD40 for removing stubborn bolts, i have just done my fronts and all the nuts were a doddle - might be a different story once you tackle the rear hub nut though!
ScarySquirrell - it might be worth investing in a socket set, i have the 150 piece halfords professional set which is really good and lifetime guaranteed. Just wait until they are on offer before you buy. I have not come across a job (bar the oil sump on the clio - needed to buy a new socket )...
Ktec do the stealth system but i think it is only available in cat back form - not just the backbox you need.
I have the standard system on mine but from reading on here they dont seem to last too long!
Try posting in the 'Wanted' section maybe?
welcome,
I came from an import impreza wrx, massive improvement in chuckability and handling (as you would expect from a smaller car) - dont really miss the straight line speed either!
Now back in the day (5+ years ago) i used to frequent this site when i have my trusty Mk1 1.4 RT along with the RSC forum. However since returning to clio ownership a few months ago with my 172 cup, i see no mention to the RSC, has it died a death???
