definately buy them, they are about the best going. have a look how much they cost new!! i've just got a set while i wait for kw to get their arse in gear.
if you have the k-tec cat it should be a direct fit, if not you need someone to shorten your 172 cat.
either way you need to drop the subframe to fit it.
powerstation in tewekesbury have to be one of the best, they have a dyno cell which is climate controlled.
best of all they are nothing to do with renaults, so they are not trying to sell you anyhing.
have you had a look at some of the toora or braid wheels? i think they can both be machined to specific offsets and they are similer to turinis but just different enough.
surely an open induction is only going to suck in hot air from under the bonnet? what about a viper or a bmc, you won't get the same noise. but you will get a cold air feed!
yes you can. i dont know exactly the limits, but you can fit slightly wider or narrower tyres on to the same rim, too much either way and you will start to have problems though.
hi there. on a 7" rim a 195 will be almost the perfect width, you can get away with a 205 perfectly well but the 195 will have slightly sharper handling. think that if the rim stays the same width and you keep on widening the tyre you will eventually have an overhang of tyre.
saying that though...
try a janspeed. my mate has a mk1 with this on and it sounds awesome! also he was interested in a quicksilver after talking to scot at sg motorsport, and was able to compare them side by side on similar cars.
the crackle you get backing off with the janspeed sounds evil!!
hi there. don't want to worry you, but i have recently fitted a gold kit to my ph2 172, and am about to return a second set of collapsed rear springs. has anyone else bought a set of these and had a similar problem? it is only the rear egg springs, but they are so collapsed that i had about 10mm...
