I had a mate who put a 2.0ltr turbod Calibra engine in a Nova. It was a complete death trap.
When it comes to cornering it just doesnt happen, he explained how rubbish it was at cornering. Having said that in a straight line would be fun got up to 160mph apparently?!?!?
Id rather have...
If its got warranty then it Renault should fix them.
I got my first service done and they replaced mine without me even asking. Yes a Renault dealer who took some initiative!! CRAZY!
Might be worth a try, it typical though, my drivers side washers as well. I think they just clog up...
You could just take off the old plate hold firmly on top of the new one and drill through the holes into the one underneath.
Thats what I did when I was making holes for my plate on my last car. Then I knew the holes in the new plate were the same as the old one.
To be honest I think it...
I heated mine up for a little while with a hairdryer and it softened them up enough for me to pull them off, took a bit of persuation but worked. :D
I used the Halfords number plate kits (about £2.50) and they were plenty good enough. Worked fine on the curve on the front as well.
Be...
I had my first plates stuck on with adhesive from the garage and I had to heat them with a hair dryer to get the buggers off. Very well stuck on.
When I put my private plate on i used three sticky strips per plate, made sure Id cleaned thoroughly and all good. Can get them in Halfords...
It surprises me that they are replacing the VTR/VTS when there is such a difference in performance and cost!!
Having said that a guy I know got bought a 182 by his mum and dad so maybe their is lots of rich kids being bought em!! lol :p
Im just curious how many Renaultsport Clios are made each year?
You dont see many of the 172s but Im starting to see more and more 182s.
Just wondered how many have been sold. Wondering how exclusive they are really?!?!?!?
1.2s have their function, cheap insurance, fuel efficient etc
I had an L plate Clio Oasis 1.2 at 17 then an X plate Clio 1.2 Grande when I was 19 so I wouldnt knock the smaller engines!!
Not that Id go back now though lol ;)
My MPG on the trip computer mostly shows between 29-32mpg. I reckon the low side of that is mostly due to traffic.
Luckily only do about 150 miles a week so dont use too much fuel.
I think its only right to give it some in the right places. So many cars are wasted their owners who just...
Fair points. My mum came home and goes to me I followed an older bloke in a Clio just like yours and he was driving so slowly!!
What a bloody waste!!
Lets face it, it doesnt matter what speed youre doing if some little jobs worth in his white van pulls out randomly in front of you, there isnt much you can do.
Driving too fast for the conditions is one thing but what is too fast when youre surrounded by people that cant drive! lol
Im sure to some van drivers they get off on having vehicle bigger than most cars.
Im probably bigger than most van drivers though so they can f*ck right off!! haha :devilish:
I understand van drivers and lorry drivers have a job to do but putting peoples cars and lives at risk is not on.
I had a white van driver cut accross a lane and nearly hit me, I beeped him to let him know I was there. All I got in return was a load of grief and him trying to push me onto the...
I definately let the engine warm up!!
I find I keep spinning the wheels up, especially in this colder weather. The 205/40/17 tyres help with traction a lot though. :)
What is it with white van drivers!! They are such aggressive careless drives and if you dont drive at 70mph they tail gate you.
I personally hate lorry drivers!! Just coz they have to do 7 gear changes when a car does 1 doesnt mean they dont have to stop. I was on a roundabout the other day...
Sounds like there are plenty of Clios that get driven with some force. Ive never hit the redline or had the rev limiter kick in but have given it some!
At least I know not to feel guilty when I floor it off the lights! LOL
Just wondered how often people give it some in their Clios. As in taking their car to 6500rpm+ :devilish:
Also I know some people think that a lot of fast cars get ragged but what do you think classes as ragging a car or just driving it to its full potential??
Ive seen some electro luminecent white dials that glow either green or blue. Its the actuall gauges that glow up rather than being back lit.
The only thing is that changing the colour of the dials might look a bit funny compared to all the orange lights in the Clio.
Replacing the seat runners coz I said I thought the seat was a bit wobbly.
Not the word thought in that though, I just wanted them to check it over coz I thought the seat had a bit of give. I wish Id never bothered coz the muppet that tried to fix it has caused me nearly two months of...
.....getting there arses in gear with the damage they did to the interior of my 172.
So far replaced the steering wheel, kick panel and inside door handle. Just now waiting on the seatbelt holster trim and the handbrake gaiter!!
Still waiting from the parts from the suppliers.
Im sure organised crime targets cars that they can strip parts off.
I cant imagine a £15k Clio being stolen to order though?!? I know someone who had their keys robbed by a group of guys stealing cars to order but this was a £50k BMW X5 which is a slightly different bracket to a 106, Focus...
