    Hyper-efficient 182!

If only it stayed that way! :D It tripped over the 17,000 mark on the motorway and for some reason, reset all the trip, mileage, mpg etc. Must be a standard Reno thing - either that, or mine got that fed up waiting to be reset - it did it itself. D.

    Silver '51 plate 172 - Blackburn Asda

About 30mins ago. Parked in the pickup-point bay. I 'think' I glanced a view of a Willy there too - Flaming Monkey, perhaps? D.

    ITG panel filter - cleaning?

Does it need cleaning and if so, how often and what with? Mine's been in there for about 15k now. Just wondered if it needed a trip to the laundrette? Cheers, D.

Chris 'n Nic avec le RUG this morning...

Thought you'd been abducted m8! Haven't seen the RUG in ages - literally a good month and more. I thought you may have even got a different job! Waved to you this morning, but I think you were concentrating more on the idiots at that roundabout to notice me.... ;) D.

Oulton Park yesterday - Clios aplenty!

Spotted 4 close together. Lee's Trophy, Maz's 182, a 172 Cup behind (who's is that?) and the black modded dCi Clio behind that one? Spotted the occassional RS amongst the parked cars - one black gold 182 that had a reg plate that made up the name MATT with a Hill Power sticker on tha back...

Baked Bean - heading north, M66, approx 1.45pm

Came past me on the outside lane just past the Ramsbottom sliproad. Looked well in the sun - thought it was a Trophy from a distance in the rear mirror! Driving a works Mondeo at the time, so I didn't let on. Went past me rather quickly and I was doing circa 85mph....  Anyone? D.

    Sidelight bulb for 182

Guys, Anyone got the part number (and make) of a replacement bulb for a front sidelight on a 182? I noticed mine had gone yesterday. I take it that these would be available through Halfords? Cheers, D.

    PS3 in Las Vegas, today...

Anyone have links to any news yet? Supposedly today is THE day that the world gets to see the new PlayStation. Should be interesting to see how it compares to the 360.... D.

Can I have some help on Mac purchasing? Please!

As a request from our MD, he's after two of the new Mac notebooks, presumably the Intel dual-core ones that I'd guess work with Windows domains and Exchange 2003? He's after a small, portable one at work and one for home that can resemble the dimensions of an aircraft carrier if need be. Cost...

PC gamers advice - new system

Right guys, I could do with some input with regards to updating my PC around September time. I'd say 90% of it's usage will be for playing games and I'm only thinking of replacing the internals - not the monitor or anything. I'll be looking at a new mobo, new CPU, new memory and obviously a...

Yikes! Megs clay = dodgy results?

Washed the car as normal. Then broke open my new pack of Megs clay - tore a third off it and made it soft under the hot water tap. I took out a clean bucket of very diluted AutoGlym bodywork shampoo and tepid water (along with a jug of hot water to dip the clay in every now and then) and...

Inferno 182 - Lower Audley Street, Blackburn

I had the window down and waved to the thank the car behind for letting me out and then I spotted you at the lights. So, I waved again. I probably looked a right tool..... ;) D.

    DIY suspension test

Sorry for being vague on this guys, but I'm convinced that something's not quite right with the suspension on the driver's front side. As a comparison, it feels like that front tyre is running low on pressure, but they are all a healthy 31psi all-round. It's almost like the car feels like its...

    Fecking 'ell Megs!

What do you expect me to do with that?! I opened up the Megs Super-Absorbant-Triple-Layer-Comfort-Water-Guzzler cloth for the first time after washing my car today. I expected a small square of cloth - not a bloody beach towel! I was in two minds whether or not to cut it in half, but I thought...

    DVD-RAM drive for Mac?

We've got a knackered external DVD-RAM drive on a G4 here. Normally, we'd just get a new firewired DL DVD drive as a replacement, but they've got plenty of DVD-RAM discs with information on them. Has anyone got any suggestions of a make & model of external DVD-RAM drive that still might be for...

Black Clio - in a ditch, Grane Road, Blackburn

Past it this morning on the way into work. About 10ft or so from the side of the road, down in a ditch. Quite a dodgy bend that, but the car didn't look too badly damaged. Hopefully no one was injured? D.

Blue V6 & Trophy this afternoon...

Spotted a blue V6 coming up towards Grane Road from the Helmshore end. Looks like it had some writing on the rear bumper from what I saw in the mirror. Few minutes later, spotted a 182 Trophy on the opposite side of the M66, heading north, just past Bury. Would have been around 1.30pm this...

    Battlefield 2 - VoIP question

What's people's view on it? Do people use it? I don't - as I'm only on 512k broadband, but from what I've seen, you suffer a massive disadvantage from a well organised group using it. It literally is like a switch - VoIP servers are much harder, those without are much easier. I had a game...

    '02 silver 172 - Shadsworth, Blackburn

Outside our work on Partnership Way. Couldn't see a CS sticker, but it does have an after-market zorst. Not the same as the one further round the corner with a CS sticker in the rear window ;) D.

Battlefield 2 question - please help!

I suspect the answer is a definite no, but is there ANY WAY of switching that bloody announcer's voice off BF2? I've only recently reinstalled it and I'm getting pissed off with some octogenerian Yank saying "press the right mouse button to pull my pud", "press the Tab key for me to tell you...

Lord of the Rings - Battle for Middle Earth 2

Quality, quality RTS. :approve: If you liked the first one - then definitely get this - its much, much better. From the graphics (even on my lowly 9800 Pro) to the sound effects and the level design - it really is so much better all round. Even if you're not a fan of the real-time-strategy...

    It's official - 182s don't like the snow

Managed to drive all the way home today without incident. The 182 behaved itself impeccably - a little skitish when one of the front wheels went into slush, but that's to be expected. However, I came up my lane (approx 20 yards from the house) and reached the bend that has cobbles it. Yikes...

    Battlefield 2 : Euro Force

http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/euroforce.jsp Looking good. I like the way that they call it a 'booster pack' - in other words, we can't be arsed making a full expansion pack! ;) Only downloadable from EA? Hmmmm. Does this mean it will be cheaper?! Not really...
