i4detailing do snow foam mate.
Most people will use some kind of sealant. PB EX-P Sealant. Autoglyn Extra gloss protection or CG blitz.
Wheel cleaners used are stuff like bilberry. But if you polish and seal your wheels then just car shampoo will suffice.
I went to carcraft once, and sadly brought a car there.
Over 6 hours i was in there for the car. Its a long story which I won't go into the ins and outs of but basically....
Went in, told them what i was after, they had one in stock, took my current car keys to do trade in price, picked...
Ive used EGP in the past and the thing that got me was the amount of time you had to leave it on.
Ive tried PB EX-P Sealant and it gives the same (if not better) results, but without having to leave it on for such a long time!
I've just gotta decide which big bottle of shampoo to get once my...
I'll just leave it PB WS then.
Cheers lads :D
Its quite satisfying this cleaning and polishing lark really! I was just lookin at the wheels thinkin 'they look bloody gorgeous' lol
Has done indeed. :D
Do you think a coat of AG EGP would be a bit overkill??
They're freshly powdercoated so don't want the brake dust getting at them for a good while!
Just used the PB Wheel Sealant.
Must say it's very nice/easy to use. Alot softer than i thought and went on easily. Buffed off even easier.
Given the wheels a coat of AG SRP and 2 coats of PB WS so far :D
Do you lads find that the snow foam ever stains the tarmac or slabs on your driver??
Only reason i ask is that i'm looking into getting a snowfoam lance but my car gets parked in a communal area so didn't wanna stain the floor.
OK thanks mate.
Will be placing that order very soon.
Whats the general lead time on an order? If i place it tomorrow (sunday) would it generally be received by say wednesday/thursday??
I think it's quad band phones that will run on a NZ provider.
Not sure if Tri Band do, I don't think they do.
If you're running a UK provider, as previously said you just need to have roaming activated.
I saw the stuff on CYC but they didn't have some of the stuff in stock so i got it all from UF to get the free postage.
Probably didn't work out too much more expensive.
Maybe next time if they're all in stock i'll give CYC a try!
JD : So should i go with the APC and drop the Bilberry...
www.poorboys-shop.co.uk
It forwards you to ultimate finish.
Prices not too bad i guess.
But the delivery speed is second to none. Don't think i have recieved anything quite so fast from an internet company in a long time!
They do alot more than Poorboys, including DodoJuice. Megs and a...

Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner great, but once used, you should protect wheels by polishing, then sealing, then warm soapy water will be enough to remove grime tbh
So would you recommend i drop the bilberry? As the wheels will be polished and sealed before going on the car.
Poorboys QD High...
Poorboys professional Polish and then Poorboys EX-P Sealant.
If you have a light coloured car you could use White diamonds polish instead of pro polish. If you have a dark car use blackhole polish.
If you're after a harder wax there's always Poorboys Nattys Paste wax.
So i've started to get together a collection of cleaning/detailing products.

Will the square one not fit then as i've ordered it.
If you have the parts number for the orange one mate it be grateful.
I was gonna re-use mine but ive sent my throttle body to the polishers now and i fear they may throw it away cause i forgot to remove it.
Ive ordered that one on the phone.
The one that came out was a bright orange one, much like an elastic band.
I have already ordered the gaskets as they'll be here for saturday but i'll ring tomorrow and double check the part numbers with the guy at parts.
Cheers mate.
Im not sure on the differences between the foam applicators mate, but with the heads for the mops a white one is a very firm foam for compounding hard 2k paint. Whereas a blue is a softer foam for compounding all paints finishes.
I found that the harder white foam removed overspray alot...
Re: What can i do under the hood of a s**tty 1.2 lol
Bugger, Ive just come back on here top recommend colour coding and maybe some carbon fuse and battery covers etc and you've beat me to it!
LOL
TBH mate i wouldn't bother with a viper on a 1.2.
They don't make much of a difference on a 172 so really won't affect a 1.2!
You're better off getting a cheaper induction kit if you just want the roar. Spark plugs won't make much of a difference, unless the ones you have are old. New ones...
