So it's fairly easy to live with then Riz on the motorway? Used to hate my old custom exhaust at between 2.5k and 4k used to just BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR boom.
Yeah indeed, I'm no old man but a droning exhaust on a long hop can be pretty tiresome. But cross-country and variable revs they've more involving than an OE system.
Reason I'm asking is someone on here is proposing a YS decat system in a swop for my OE system minus the cat (as they don't need...
Just a request for some opinions on those who own(ed) or have had dealings with the 182 YS decat system, reason being I want to find out how loud the thing is.
I had my 172 fitted with a CCR custom jobbie when my OE box fell off, but in honesty as soon as the honeymoon was over, it did my fking...
So to clarify this, it will flash a 182 and change the rev limiter and give 'better' power through the range? Is the power delivery noticably different?
Does the cruise control still work with this?
Is there any change to the idle/warming rev limt?
Anything other than a laptop required?
Just found this thread after seeing Morego on google. Morego did some kits and tuning for Hondas IIRC, remember seeing a lot of tuned Preludes by them.
Anyway back to the question, I was looking at perhaps getting the 'conversion' done for £800 which basically includes SS...
Yeah just the front never settled as low as I'd have liked. Miss my little 172, still replacing it with an Inferno 182 soon so all good.
*Edit*
On the Konigs, the back was wound as low as it would go, not sure on actual measurements but 50mm back and 60mm front would be fair assumption, the...
Interesting, people already talking about Coils despite the Cup chassis. The 197 does sit too high though I agree, and 7mm isn't really going to make much difference.
Renault should offer an option on Cup models for lowered suspension or go into partnership with someone like Eibach/Koni like...
True, if they do indeed knock them out for 13k then they'll have an audience no doubt, would probably also put a stop to dealers doing decent discounts on the 197FF - They must be worried though, either all the 197's sold purposefully avoid me, or they've sold none cause I've seen 2 on the roads...
Indeed I waffled almost full circle, but I just struggle to understand why someone buying a Clio would opt for such sacrifice in return for a fraction of a second.
Be interesting to see the book price on the Cup vs. 197 vs. R27.
