well wot does it matter even if you have a reference?? the mapping will still have to be adjusted live, and so it will inevitably be mapped specificaly for your engine. i.e. if someone comes on here now and says their engine was at lambda=1.1 at max engine speed/load (with the same mods), YOU...
As has been stated the ECU will pull fuelling back to stoich on cloosed loop lambda, but the ECU will run open loop lambda above a certain load/speed boundary, and take a preset fuelling algarithymn for maximum power (where lambda=0.88, NOT 1 (stoich)). But as Ben has told you, the AFR of your...
crossflow is the name given to the design you have pointed out....inlet and outlet on opposing sides. increases the overall flow ability of the head.
yours will be cross-flow mate, dont worry about it!
injectors make a ticking noise by nature of their operation. u sure it isnt the followers mate?
petrol additives are pointless, they dont clean the basket in the injector itself...its too fine
they need to be sonic cleaned to do it properly.
like i say...u sure it isnt the hydraulic...
the megane head needs machining at the end of the exhst cam to accept the distributer boss. then u need to mess on with the inlet manifold and adapt it and the clio loom so that they are compatible. then ud need to map the ecu
unless u can diy it then i wouldnt bother mate
fit t.bs if u want...
yeah had major probs with it...i cant get any communication with the ecu. its on stnd willy map, and it goes well considering its far from set-up...mapping is wrong and the cams arent timed.
got individual T.Bs on the way tho, with an Emerald ecu;)
it helps cool the exhst manifold area really....heat "release" only occurs at standstill
naturally if u were to use the non-16v bonnet u would fit some sort of vent
id say so....mine goes to 7250 with ease...im sure it will go further aswell.
but there is always a risk a component will fail
have u got the cams for it tho?
crank and pistons in the meg are more up to the job.
only way to improve is forged pistons with the crank/rods lightened to suit (there is no benefit of lightening crank unless the pistons are lighter).
ive seen it happen on a Mitsi Pajero off road vehicle, so it can happen on a Clio. granted its not likely, but equally not impossible
Are you running an enclosed airbox Ben?
eh? that a bit of a large assumption. why would i only be able to buy pulleys when i finnish the head work? i havnt finnished the porting yet..i told u that, and thats wot i said in my progress report on retro-renault...and so wot? ive been busy. its not exactly crime of the century!
So just...
What issue would that be then??
How would you know mate....youve never tried it, and besides, you dont know what i have/have not done...apart from my BRIEF mentionings
boring the head out?!!
williams has longer stroke and slightly larger bore to give 2.0. the longer stroke and heavier crank reduces the max rpm. it also has larger inlet valves.
so...to make your F7P into 2.0, youd fit the williams pistons and crank. the block needs machined to accept the...
