I'd stick with the Conti's personally - the car was made around them as suggested above. I'll never skimp on rubber, it's just not worth taking a potential hit in performance for a few quid.
I think he does have a point though - if I had based my opinion on one test drive it wouldn't be so good. You need to live with it a while to appreciate its brilliance.
That looks awesome Gaz - very nice indeed. I'm going to get my bumpstrips done too, they look shite as standard!
Ste - you should so do the black wing mirrors!!
Did you retrofit the Xenon's Gaz?
I swore never to have black again, but when I saw it I had to have it!
Red next for me I think, after working on SteBurns' car, you can get impressive results, like with black, but it's a lot more forgiving.
No worries Liam - will cost you a KFC though! Lol...
It literally took about 30 mins to do the whole car - mix the two glazes up and apply by machine, fills swirls like NOTHING I have ever used before, then top with the wax. I think a couple of layers of the wax will bring out a bit more bling...
I am thinking of lowering and doing the wheels in gloss black as they need a refurb really.
Could one of you fine people help me out please by working your magic on the pic below:
Oh fanks,
Russ.
Em - I heated each letter up at a time for a couple of minutes, removed them with dental floss, then removed the remaining gunk with white spirit and AG Tar Remover. I managed to do it without marking the paint at all, which is a bloody miracle given how easy it is to mark!!
Hey Em,
I de-badged it myself over the weekend - dental floss and a (borrowed) hair dryer - doesn't take long at all.
Sorry I didn't reply to your text - we'll get yours done very soon :)
Durability isn't great unfortunately, but it's a good choice for a bit of bling in summer.
They do a decent QD for top ups though, but it's quite pricey :(
