Depends on your taste. Ive got a chubby 172 and a good friend has a Cup, both can be very quick around a track with a decent driver.
Personally i wussed out when given the choice of both new, went for the Leather, Climate, Cruise, Sound Proofing, Thicker Glass and quieter ride.
Others...
While you doing it you could sort out the rattles. Its just wires and plastic knocking together or rubbing. In fact, youd probably do a better job than Renault ever could
Neither. 350Z, 330ci or a chipped 330d. Then there is an VX220T, Elise, New shape ITR (full track kit), How about an M5, the same money buys a pretty good example.
More cars to choose from than just those 2, suppose you will have to go out and test them all
On the G-Tech ive scored a 6.56 for a chubby 172, best time and launched on brand new tarmac that had a ton of grip. On normal crappy roads its about 6.7-6.8 no problems.
Turn ESP off though, it bogs you down no end.
Apart from this one :o Didnt see that first time round. Look like a someone in the distance, and it wasnt someone in our group

CRX=Canadian Red Cross in Taplow.
TBH, Apart from that mdeicine room that still smelf of hospitals and had glass vials on the floor, its not that scary.
Next week, Steve goes upstairs! Mwuhuhhuhuh
The mounts arent strong enough and allow the engine to move back and forth creating a noise. Ideally if its under warranty, renault should replace the mount, or if out of warranty try getting some made up from an aftermarket supplier.
Biggest factor i found was road surface. Some tarmac is much grippier in places, and helps get away quickly. Broken and old roads tend to be crap for fast times.
You can always cheat and use some of that high grip coating to get the perfect start.
About 10 laps of Oulton Park and then back up to full speed. :oops:
A few hundred miles should do it, and youll get that done in a day or so wouldnt you Oms?
