Does FSH have any effect on something like P/X valuation ? Would you really lose £xxxx on the sale from not having FSH compared to what you save by doing it yourself ? Last time I P/X a car they asked if it had FSH, I did, but they never even checked or looked.

aye I had a silver car before and once it was polished/waxed etc it just stayed clean for weeks ! Even in the rain any dirt was barely noticetable. It also seemed easier to actually get it clean too.

So my road tax is due for renewal in 3 months. Can I pay this years rate and get 12 months then to save a bit of money ? Rather than paying 6 months at this years rate then paying for 6 months at nexts years rate when its due again in 2009 ?

Mine is pretty good too tbh... there is one annoying rattle/squeek coming from the drivers side seatbelt mount right in my ear! Other than there theres nothing of note really. I had a mk4 Golf before and can't say the build quality was massively better on that... not as much as people make out...

Mines a 2004 registered and it has cruise control but I can't say I have ever used it :) Looks like a pretty good quote... i'm paying £450 with 5 years no claims but with all the extra gubbins on top, protected etc.

Is it correct that oil temp tends to lag behind water temp in terms of heating up ? So when your water temp hits the middle mark your oil temp is still likely to be a way off where it ought to be ? Mine always hits the middle mark well under 10 minutes taking it steady.

Can you actually buy some product which gives it that smell ? I know you can get the magic tree new car smell but it only lasts a few weeks at best. Whenever I have got a "new" - ie second hand car, from a dealer, it has always had the smell for a few months... they must use something when...

Checked mine this morning and don't seem to have an alarm afterall, it never really occured to me :stupid: I do have the locking wheel nuts though. Problem is my insurance I guess.

This is probably going to sound like a ridiuclous question but... how can you tell if you have an alarm ? When I got mine it was stated to be a 'European' Vehicle and they told me that was because it was original registered in Ireland. It doesn't bring up the car on registration searches on...

I used to have a 2.0l Golf and I loved it but it was just too slow. I was looking at getting a 1.8t + remap etc but for the same price I realised I could get a 172 with half the milage, better spec and faster standard. More bang for bucks I guess. Happy with the decision :) Plus it amuses me...
