Yeah i suppose getting drunk all the time, sleeping with lots of girls and making awesome mates at uni isnt much of a life :rasp:
I would like to be working and not so bloody poor all the time though!!
Wow didnt realise there were so many of us at the uni. I havent seen the exclusive but i have seen a girl driving a black 182 in uxbridge. Anyone seen or know the person with the 197? Im studying physiotherapy last year lots of placements though so not too much acaders or liquid. We should have...
Yeah they are lively cars but easy to control on the limit when you get used to them, love em. Got a company car as well which i was using for a bit but i missed having the clio so got another. Wanted ABS this time around though after nearly killing myself in the cup haha. Where abouts do you...
I thought it was a monaco and i saw the xenons but your profile says dci so i was confused lol. Think it was a zetec-s or something, dunno really didn't stay around long enough to see what it was haha. Bet he was happy getting done twice in a row by 2 clios lol. How you enjoying the car? Im...
Hey dude it was me, car is completely standard but i think its a good one. Only had it a couple of months had a cup before it. That fiesta was trying to have a play when i came out of Bournemouth Park Rd so i thought it would be rude not to lol. What motor you got looked very nice!
The handling hasnt felt right tbh and its definitely snapped. Also the brakes dont feel too strong dont know if this could get affected as a result of the springs??
Old man is taking it to garage tomorrow but if doesnt get fixed i may well message you with an offer cheers.
Will it be ok to...
Any idea how much a standard 172 front spring is?
Also is it worth changing both sides at the same time. It looks like the offside has snapped but the other looks fine but im no expert. Is there any consequences from driving the car while it is broken?
Cheers
Its a totally standard 51 plate Iceburg silver 172 with 77,000 miles. Got it for £3250 bargain considering the condition. Will get pictures up when i pick it up late next week.
After months of waiting i've finally got a 172 again. Looked at one ph1 and a few ph2's and must say in terms of driving i couldn't really tell the difference but opted for the ph2 as i think it looks nicer especially inside. Both interiors were better than the cup i used to own anyway, and...
If it does have a genuine 'FRSH' then surely it will have had the cambelt change at 5 years or 72k cause isn't it down in the service book to be done at these times? Would there be any reason why Renault wouldn't do exactly what is supposed to be done?
Im looking to buy a 172 somepoint in the next week and i have been enquiring about one advertised on autotrader. The problem is the guy says it has a full renault service history but there is no receipt for the cambelt being done so he is unsure if it has been done.
Is there anyway to check...
How does the exclusive compare to the cup Nomad? I used to have a cup so would be a good comparision to get an opinion of going from the cup to a phase 1.
Yeah i made my decision long ago before sitting back and admiring the argument that unfolded lol. Ph1 it is but not until later in the year which means i have to make do with my crappy Peugeot 207 company car till then :(
After my cup this compay car has been a massive dissapointment and...
This is exactly why i think its the better option for me coming from a cup. The only thing that is holding me back is the fact that im not too sure on the looks but i think i can ignore that if it means i can get a mint ph1 which will drive better than the ph2.
I think what people are trying to say is there are alot less Ph1's compared to the different shape of the ph2 172's, 172 cups and 182's. Making them more rare as the other all look pretty similar really.
If my budget was a little higher there is no doubt i would get another cup but seeing as its not i think a ph1 is the way to go. I have only ever seen one in the flesh so i would say that are much rarer than the rest of the sports! I see FF's and 182's all the time but never ph1's.
Middo that looks lovely in yellow. Think i might just get a ph1 and fit ph2 rear bumper and side strips if im not too keen on the looks. Probably wont be arsed once i have it though as long as it gets close to my cup in terms of speed, handling and fun then im sure i'll be happy!
Ph1 definitely looks more aggressive and sporty and i agree that the ph2 looks a little standard. Gonna be a tough decision but i think im better off getting a good ph1 with my monies.
Hi all i need a bit of help here. Looking to get a 172 later this year but i just cannot decide between the phase 1 and phase 2. I used to own a cup which in my opinion is the best looking of the lot but with a budget of around 3-4k a decent cup is out of the question and a phase 1 seems like...
Anyone know how much to get the door handles, bump strips etc, colour coded?
Used to have a 172 Cup but sold it due to arrival of company car. Missing it like crazy now though so might just have to take the plunge and get another next year. Looking into phase 1's though as i don't want to spend...
Just wondering why some have black plastic side bump strips and some are colour coded? I know some people have phase 2 colour coded ones fitted to phase 1's but some appear to have standard colour coded ones. Were these an optional extra at the time or only available on certain models? Just...
