I had a feeling they might because if you apply online they asked you to call them if you want monthly payments, where as direct line display the monthly costs. Direct Line appear to not charge extra for monthly's so it looks like im going to renew with them.
Hopefully i'll be able to find someone like that near to me then. That seems very cheap! I can't wait to get it fixed its getting noisier by the day and seems to have lost power gradually over the last few months as the exhaust is slowly dying. Was gonna get an after market exhaust but the back...
Got my first scratch on my car last night when pulling onto the drive. Wasnt concentrating and there wasnt much room and i managed to scrape the side of my car on the back end of my mates car. Damage doesn't look too bad just minor scratches, but some of the paint from her car has rubbed off...
I think im going to change it so all are matching and then keep as a spare. Its just the money for the tyre which as always is the limiting factor. However all the tyres bar the one that needs changing are brand new Michelin Exaltos, so i think its worth matching that one up as well. Thanks for...
I got a puncture in my rear nearside tyre at the weekend and had to get a new one fitted because the screw that had pierced it was too close to the sidewall. I now have new tyres on the front and one on the rear, but the rear offside is now much lower compared to the rest. Do you think i should...
I have considered nicking someone else's but then i suppose that would make me just as bad as the person who stole mine is. It just pisses me off that someone is pikey enough to steal an aerial off of a car. I hope that whoever took it, stole it to use on their car rather than just taking it...
Parked my car in a multi storey care park and went shopping in town for an hour the other day, and came back to find that some w***er has stolen the aerial off my car. Has this happened much to anyone else? Does anyone know where i can buy a new one, I cant find anywhere that sells them.
I owned an Ibiza Tdi 130 before i bought my cup. Well made car, very comfortable, quick and light on fuel, and is easy to drive but its so boring compared to the Clio. The chassy in the clio is far more fun and adjustable and i thought the Ibiza was quick, until i drove the cup which is in a...
Yeah thats what the guy said, its just i never trust Kwik Fit. Always get the impression they are trying to rob me of my money. Quoted me £352 for a replacement which seems ridiculously high to me. Any suggestions on what replacement to get? Must admit im tempted by this one...
The guy said that the baffles have gone in the centre section, would this make it sound like its blowing? It also rattles at idle. Should i look at completely changing the whole whole exhaust system?
Noticed a blowing noise coming from underneath the car in the last week or so, and in the last couple of days its feeling very sluggish and slow. Just been to quick fit and the bloke there said he couldnt see any blowing anywhere but reckons the mid section has gone and recommended i get a...
My fronts are starting to look very bald and i think im gonna need some new tyres shortly before they become illegal.
What are peoples recomendations on which tyres to get and the best place to buy from. I wont be tracking the car but i do like to give it a blast now and again (actually its...
Saw you parked up outside Alldays in Hockley as i drove past in my 172 cup to park in Somerfield car park. You came into the car park looking for a parking space. Anyone on here?
I am 20 and have just bought a 172 cup, insured in my name with my mum as a named driver for £1500. Im seeing deja vu. So my answer to your question would be yes definitly buy one you wont be disappointed!!
Hi guys!
Got a 52 reg cup fast approaching the 72k mark so its gonna need a service in the next few months. I know this is a big service but the cambelt has already been done early at 60k just to be sure. Anyone know what else will need to be done in the service? Also thinking of taking it to...
Picked up my cup today. 172 cup 52 reg, 68k miles for £4900. Fook me its quick think im gonna have to go steady until i get used to it, loads of torque steer. I think i can clear up the Fabia VRS vs Clio 172 debate once and for all, having just come from a Seat Ibiza TDI Sport. THE CLIO IS MUCH...
OK well if i can get there i will but no guarentees as my car is being sold on friday so i will have no wheels :( Looking at a cup at the weekend so hopefully il be able to turn up in that if i buy it :D
I might just go for it and hope for the best. Wish me luck. Although i might come to my senses soon! Hoping it wont sell today and then i will have a chance to look at it first.
Ive spoken to him on the phone and he said he got the cambelt and exhaust done to try and help with the sale as he needs the money quickley for a house he is buying. Seemed genuine but you never know do ya :S
Yeah but if it doesn't match up with the description then i think i have the right to pull out. Also he doesn't live far away from me and he has said i can have a test drive but the auction ends tonight so haven't got time :( The reserve isn't met yet anyway so hopefully it wont sell on ebay and...
Just looked on Ebay and there is a 2002 172 cup with 68,000 miles (alot i know) but its not going for much. It has a full service history and has a new cambelt and exhaust. What do you reckon? Do you think it will be ok? Anyone out there with high milers on an 02 plate?
