Lexus lights - every chav in the world buys them... often you see a car with lexus clusters but steel wheels - real classy. I think they look crap... they'll never grace any car of mine (unless its a lexus).
It was -1 round here tonight, i still had no problems driving in a spirited manner with ESP off... it handles very well, i havent drawn definite conclusions yet, but so far i prefer the car with ESP off.
Seems crap to me.
Almost exactly the same as the one in my Skoda vRS, a total nanny over what you can do. So what i'm saying is not surprising to any of you, but it just confirms in my mind that most traction control systems on hot hatches are pretty poor.
It just crudely cuts the power and...
Thats something I would never do.
3000 rpm max until the water temp is half way.... then 4000 max for at least the next couple of miles after... and no WOT until it is...
Dunno about much faster ;)
The only thing I can notice about it, is that if I put the pedal to the floor early on it seems less noticable, if I'm a lot more progressive with the throttle, it seems to kick in harder... most cars I've had seem to respond more kindly to the more progressive...
I've had my Clio 182 nearly a couple of weeks now and am really enjoying it, but I've noticed the acceleration sometimes seems a little "inconsistent". Sometimes when I hit the "zone", i.e. that point above about 5k rpm where it really picks up, sometimes it kicks in with real violence, but...
Agreed - the 230 lb ft on the standard one is the reason why a car with 100 bhp / tonne will hit 0-60 in 8 seconds and on to 128 mph... 50-70 on the std car is 5.6 secs in 5th :)
Cool, well it certainly appears to be the standard car - probably no bad thing as this car is used as much for business as it is pleasure, and to me the handling is already pretty smart - certainly better than my previous cars, and its comfortable, refined and luxurious when i need it to be.
I...
Well the wheels look pretty silver to me....
@ Mr Spasm... i wasnt too bothered either way to be honest, just a couple of comments sparked my curiosity. Whatever the case, the car seems to handle well to me, and thats good enough for me :)
OK, I got a second hand 182, with 5k miles on the clock. I asked the dealer if it had the cup pack, but they said they simply did not know.
I put the pictures on a forum, and from what I gather, some people commented and said "at least you have the cup pack"... now i know for a fact it aint got...
Oh yeah, I know it definitely wouldnt sail past... just that they arent particularly slow, but I'd be surprised if it could overtake a CTR at all, unless it was very heavily modded. Maybe if the Fabia driver caught the CTR driver in the wrong gear, but thats it.
Certainly they *feel* quick, but...
I guess it'll be a remapped Fabia vRS, and I wouldnt underestimate them. I used to have one, as standard, no they arent as quick, but remapped and they'll give most things a run for their money.
One thing they wont do however, is handle as well as the Clio.
They are nice cars though, I still...
Hi, I picked up my second hand 5000 mile Clio 182 today, I am impressed with its power and handling, however I've noticed at times there seems to be a noise coming from the dash area when accelerating hard, sounds kinda like a whistle or ringing sound, as if something is resonating with the...
