I'd bleed the brakes correctly if they feel spongy at all. If you had the fluid changed it's worth doing. Usually there is a sequence when renewing the fluid but i'm not yet yup to speed with the Clios yet. I know my old Evo had a specific way to do it properly. Sometimes you can get a glaze on...
Thanks for that. Are the filters different sizes or interchangeable? It's either that or go for a complete induction kit. Quite like the look of the carbon Pipercorss one on Ktec website.
as mentioned, if anyone has fitted an induction kit and doesn't want their lower air box casing, I wouldn't mind it. Just trying to keep it as standard as possible for now. Don't suppose anyone knows if it's interchangeable with any other clio range airboxes? Please feel free to PM me. Cheers.
oil leaking from the head gasket? I really need to look into the technical side of these engines (just bought my car yesterday) but finding some interesting stuff already.
Well I went with Admiral Multicar last year as they only quoted £540 FC for my EVO VI (protected NCB too). So I rang them and said how much for a Clio Sport and he said £149. I didnt even bother ringing anyone else, but I am an old git and have been running some high performance cars over the...
I did think Max Power and Fast Car all at the same time actually. I remember we used to drill the airbox to make more induction noise when we were like 17, 25yrs ago! PMSL.
So, I was wondering why the car doesn't idle very well in traffic (warm air etc) and I wonder if this has anything to do with it or is it something others do on a regular basis? I've only just bought this car and finding some interesting stuff already.
If anyone has an old airbox they dont...
Does anyone know of a specialist in the north lincolnshire area, who will do an auxy belt change properly etc on a clio 182? It's had a cambelt last year when it had the head gasket replaced. cheers
So I believe some of the 182's come with cruise control. Can anyone tell me how easy it is to retro fit the cruise control to a 182 which has the buttons on the steering wheel, but seemingly no cruise control fitted. Not sure what is involved.
Cheers
I know this is a long shot but is it worth trying? I'm new to the whole clio thing but had a ford fiesta that had exactly same problem. I spent ages flushing, changing pumps, radiators, thermostats etc, and it turned out to be the heater solenoid valve beside the bulkhead. Now as I know very...
If you were getting 17-19mpg, then you weren't driving it properly! LOL. I used to get single figures on track days. :)
Never fancied the scoobys except the P1. (R22B) Now if I could get one of those i'd give it a try. Can't believe how cheap everything is for the Clio tho. Insurance sorted...
Thanks guys. Will get pics up once I get the car sorted. No doubt it'll become a money pit just like my evo's have done. I'll be back in an evo soon enough but always fancied one of these.
I do like the look of a turbo kit though! lol
Rocky, I know of an evo VI going for sale which is a real...
Just wanted to say hello, new to the forum and should pick my Clio Sport 182 up on Friday morning, if it ain't a shed!
Just sold an Evo VI, decided to calm down a bit for the winter so opted to try the Clio out as I have heard good things and also been tailgated around Cadwell Park a fair few...
