If you can drill from the inside of the bumper you could use a hole saw (some times called a tank cutter) the are available in all sizes.Although it will give you slightly more than a semi circle as it uses a drill in the center, you could straighten that up though.
I get this too... it was so bad once it left a mark on the end of my finger...
A simple solution though is to hold onto a metal part of the door like above the window while stepping out of the car (keep hold until you foot is on the ground)... this will discharge you without any pain.. rather...
running lean or rich is all to do with the air/fuel mixture... if a car is running rich it is running on a mixture containing more fuel than it really needs.If it is running lean the amount of fuel in that same measure of air is smaller.
Running lean can cause detonation in the cylinder...
does anyone have the part number for a 172 MK2 oil filter... Ive been offered 10 filters for a fiver... the part numbers of the filters is 82 00 033 408 .. Im not sure exactly what they fit though.
try using a bit of T-Cut on them... dont rub too hard though other wise youll be through to the undercoat... polish the area afterwards as the t-cut will remove any polish that is there...
If they did the tracking as well that would probally account for the different handling as well... especially if they adjusted it very far... its suprising the difference it can make.

You can buy some decent adhesives for plastics ... most of them tend to semi melt the plastic to bond it together.I would get in touch with a plastic supplier see what sort of bonding glues they are using...

Hey tom.... did you pay my car a visit in the middle of the night or something?? .. it was the oil seal... absolutley soaked the clutch.The cars back now and it feels TOTALLY different... the bite point is a lot lower on the pedal and the clutch is a lot more aggresive now... I think it felt...
You should be able to find a supply that works when the ignition is on from the back of the fuse box... like the radio... watch out for the fuse size though... I would take the supply off of the fusebox from the supply wire to the radio (the wire thats live when ignition is on) before the fuse...
whenever I wash or polish my car I only use the sponge/cloth in a straight line from the front of the car to the back... not in circles.. a valet guy told me to do this... it stops all of those cobweb looking scratches you can get... you will still get them as you are scraping a sponge across...
