I just use Mer polish.... or even white spirit which is very cheap, wont affect the finish as its not abbrasive, and it gets burnt on tar off a treat.Ive even used it on the bodywork before now to remove tar spots.

You can buy a nifty little gadget that back flashes the camera.... its suppose to be to avoid paparrazzi ... but it works on speed cameras too.I dont have one I just remember seeing them. Also if I remember rightly they are legal.... due to a loop hole

yeah I only hand tightened it when I put it on.Im thinking about making up a tool so that I can remove the filter with no hassle.it only needs to be a bent piece of tube with a flexible drive down it, and one of those 3 prong self tightening oil filter removers on the end.

Ive always cleaned my past engines at the garage with the pressure washer and a tin of gunk as long as you dont fire the water directly at any electronic components it seems to be fine.Ive never had a problem. So far Ive done it on most of my cars, and my MR2 which has a fair few electronics in...

I have a friend with an old mini cooper... he just fits a piece of gauze over the carb inlet ... no foam or cloth... I think he just wants to stop the large objects going in the carb... like rocks..
Ive always thought of K&N as an intermediate between foam and the standard paper filter.I think it possibly filters slightly better than a foam filter, but is also slightly more restrictive.I used to race model cars and foam was always prefered over a K&N cloth filter. The K&Ns were good for...
