I just use Mer polish.... or even white spirit which is very cheap, wont affect the finish as its not abbrasive, and it gets burnt on tar off a treat.Ive even used it on the bodywork before now to remove tar spots.

You can buy a nifty little gadget that back flashes the camera.... its suppose to be to avoid paparrazzi ... but it works on speed cameras too.I dont have one I just remember seeing them.Also if I remember rightly they are legal.... due to a loop hole

yeah I only hand tightened it when I put it on.Im thinking about making up a tool so that I can remove the filter with no hassle.it only needs to be a bent piece of tube with a flexible drive down it, and one of those 3 prong self tightening oil filter removers on the end. I did an oil change...
