Just a quick question.
Does anybody on here has fitted an universal cone-filter? I'm thinking about a self made induction kit, but is it possible to use the filters fitted to other way around?
Normal fitting is with the wide-side toward the windscreen. (air coming from the caf, going from...
Well there can be two reasons for placing ribs and making the top surface this thin.
- saving material (lower production cost) using ribs might be that effective that using no ribs and making the material thicker at that spot uses more material.
- sound reduction (the ribs could reflect the...
LOL! Nice and fast replies!
I know the basics of prototyping too. In the Netherlands there are a few companies that are specialized in 3d-printing and/or prototyping. I don’t know the exact quality and materials that can be made.
Anyhow, solidworks is ok for me. I’m using Auto-cad at the...
Well when the mold of rubber/latex/polyester is good enough I can make more of these airbox covers.
My first aim is to make a replica airbox cover that is transparent.
Adjusting some ribs of the original might just be necessary to make it an easy cast. I’m not looking to re-design the part...
@ Neil G
First off I want to try and make only one. So I am not into marketing these airbox-covers (yet). (I might if the result is good enough and there is enough interest)
@ Everybody :)
My idea was to use the original part to make a mould (die-cast). Using rubber/latex or...
No! Not glass off course, but transparent (clear) polyester!
It just came to me a few months ago. I received my ITG panel filter and I thought it looked quite cool. In Holland tuning/cleaning the engine-bay is not as hot as in the UK. So I thought lets just share this with you guys.
My...
Thanks!
Yes the sat-nav is rarely seen in clio's even in Holland. Not long ago I had to replace the rubber seal from the antenna, and even the guy a Renault wanted to see for sure. Antenna seems to be different with sat-nav.
Hi all!
After being around the ClioSport forum for a while, I just thought it's time to introduce myself.
I'm Felix, live in The Netherlands and drive a Clio MK2 Ph2 172 FF built in 2002. Bought it in june 2005 and enjoyed it since. In almost 2 years encountered a few problems, but like many...
I had two rattles in my 172.
one between 2500-3000 rpm.... mechanic said it had something to do, with the handbrake mechnisme rattling against a heatshield.
other one was at 4000rpm... def other sound. The cat was rattling like a b*tch. The mechanic can check with a stethoscoop or just a...
Hi all!
First of to all a very happy 2007 and all the best.
The rubber on my antenna is completely going. Insinerated by sunlight or something. I went to the renault garage today and they said they have to replace the whole antenna/arial mounting. My clio rs has Nav/Sat so it's going to cost...
I had my cat replaced for the 4k rattle.
As from what they told me. There are 2 or 3 rings aroud the material in the cat, that are welded or something. These rings can get loose, and start rattling. Happens quite often.
I believe as long as you are still in warranty you should get it...
Thanks for your reply Edde.
The car is in the garage now, squaky belt and an oil-change. Asked the mechanic to check this too. I hope he gets things sorted today.
By the way anyone on here has experience with a chunky steeringwheel when cold. When driving away from a parkingspace I hear a...
I got a question for you guys.
I noticed something strange when revving my car.
(ph2 172 I believe you call it full fat - all options incl. nav  )
When revving at around 2750rpm, without being in gear, the engine is very rough and the car is shaking like i'm driving off-road or...
I had a simular problem last week. When I wanted to spray my window, there was barely any fluid coming out. Anyway I took a look at the engine-bay to check if anything was wrong, but saw that the pipeline going to the washer-jets, was "nodded" (bend to much so it blocked the inner diameter)
So...
