And thats just it, most people want a trophy really, but as they haven't, they have to argue about it! Sure you can make pretty much any small hatch out perform it, but this is a limited run factory standard car that is very capable on the road.
I've had enough experience in 172/182s to say...
Get yourself over on Cliotrophy.co.uk everything you need to know on that site regarding the Trophy, was a great help for when i was looking at buying mine.
Just get the car and enjoy it, I'm guessing your not getting a sport as you can't afford insurance/the car so just save all the money you'd spend on making the clio your buying a replica and then before you know it you'll be driving about in a real sport.
A guy i work with has a 04 182 with 23k miles on and his is just about the become 5 years old, he's not had the aux or cambelt done yet and isn't going to until he's done another 6k miles as that is when Renault have told him his next service is due (he's one of these people who think they're...
It was the rear of the discs that had gone on front discs, big chunks were missing, it looks like the metal has flaked of the surface. Still might be worth having a quick look, don't be a cheapskate though, after all brakes are the most important part of the car!!
Pagid RS4-2 pads and standard Renault discs for me with Motul RBF660 fluid.
I changed the front discs at 14k miles and i changed the rear discs at 19k miles.
Both front and rear discs were replaced due to corrosion more than wear, although that said the front discs didn't have much life left in...
Hi Megan, i'm Gareth,
Just had a look at some V6's on pistonheads i know what you mean now, i thought you meant the badges that go on the outsides of the doors that state the engine size usually, or on the smaller models i think they say 16V
Just reminded me how much i want a V6 after looking...
£35 a year!!! That reminds me i've got tax to buy in june! £215iirc for me though!!! grrr.
Door inserts? are you on about the silver bullets? Whats on the V6 ones?
Could of been me as i passed through groombridge today.
I can't believe there is, my trophy, MistaT's trophy the one MistaT has spotted with fancy plates and the one thats been spotted a few times with a roofrack on around crowborough and in 6 months of ownership i have only ever spotted one...
Ahhh i did see someone flash, you'd gone past when i see the flash though!!!
Mark, i'm sure i've seen you a few times recently, seen quite a few RS' about the area recently come to think of it.
Ohhhhh maybe it wasn't me, i was just leaving uckfield at 11:30 and my reg is LX55 but last time i checked i wasn't a women!!! I left the industrial estate heading along the bypass towards Crowborough.
Amigos or the kebabulance if i'm really drunk! The animal burger is a beast isn't it!
I'm out in t=wells mostly so i usually get something in there before i head home!!!
I think Mells is referring to your post title being in capitals.
A 182 owner here, probably 110bhp up on a 1.2 and 182's aren't even all that quick up at these speeds (110/120) yes they'll do a realistic 135 maybe but it wouldn't be easy! Not sure i'd be happy trying to see how fast i could get out of a 1.2 clio!!! Braking distances must be hugh at those...
Quick hot hatch as in a-b but as for acceleration then there is a awful lot of modern day traffic that will keep up in a straight line, all i'm trying to say is that the clio's are awesome little cars but there not about 0-60 times, and the tenths of seconds that separate the 172/182/197 isn't...
In my opinion Clio aren't straight line fast at all, 6 seconds/7seconds, it's really nothing exciting. !72/182/197 are all too close to compare, they are all great cars, enjoy them for what do they best, leave 0-60 times for the school kids to talk about............
Mates at work wrote in white tape F*** the police, Cops are C**** on the back of my car, fortunately i saw it before i drove off. Bit OTT in my opinion but i did see the funny side of it, not sure i would of if i'd of driven off and got pulled over for it though!!!
This gets around crowborough from time to time too, on a few occasions i've had mates asking me why i have roof bars on my car when i've been miles away from where they have thought they've seen me!!
We've all done stupid things and sometimes still do in hindsight, lucky no one was hurt and that you've not done any body damage.
Hope it all goes as planned on fixing it................
yeah i was only looking at a ph1 yellow sport the other day, another colour that really suits the clio. Would like to buy one and turn it into a bit of a track car but not sure i should really!!!!
You looking at buying a yelllow sport then?
