Thanks for that. I was thinking of trying to install a removable one behind one of the seats, possibly with an amp under the drivers seat. Just looked at the specs of a JL 10W0 though and its pretty deep! Plan B might be some 6x9s in the rear in place of the 5.25" OEM ones.
Andy - that wasnt meant to come across as a slur on the raft of excellent work GDI are doing for us Renault owners, honest.
As you said, the main thing is its happening. Fingers crossed that the development work on Sluggers car goes well.
Has anyone put anything other that replacement 5.25" speakers in their Vee? I am starting by replacing the std setup with a mix of Kef and MB Quarts but wondered if it was feasible to:-
a) stealth a pair of 6x9s in the rear?
b) mount a 10" sub somewhere behind the passenger seat?
Also, is...
The Renault 5 maxi was awesome - the inspiration for the Vee. The one on display was very rare I believe and had 380bhp from a 1397 T4 turbod engine!!!
The Nissan Micra R was amazing - I never thought Id say I like a Micra!! See http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/micra_r.aspthis link for...

Wired back to...
The alarm seems to be going off more and more these days for no particular reason - the recall mode always pointing to the ultrasonics. Ive closed the air vents but it still goes off.
I seem to remember a few Vee owners having a similar problem. Can you adjust the sensitivity of the...

The V6 is up for sale. 02 plate which I think he wants about £15K for, cheap if you ask me for a very low mileage one. His number is 01279 431628...
EVO rocks!
Its the reason I bought my 172, the reason I went on a Renault V6 track day and the reason I felt so informed before I bought my V6 255.
Definitely the best of the bunch.
Now I feel -really- old! When I were a lad (read 23) Id barely got enough cash for a 1.1 Pop Plus Fiesta! Mind you, I did find enough to bung a two litre in it :D
As Im constantly reminded, the Vee comes "ready geezerd"...although Im not entirely sure Im happy with than analogy!
Is this a Mk1 V6 problem that they cured on the Mk2 V6? Just curious...
I take it you rate the BMC CDA? Is it excessively noisy? Whats it like on the m/way?

I think you can be old and not have a V6 - Some of us realise that the 172 can be just as fun and still have practicality!!
Pah! Who needs practicality? Thats what the missus car is for!! Mind you, Ive got room for a baby in the front...
Its a sad world when you have to reign in your choice of car because of what other people might think as you drive it around. Its also a crime to buy a nice car and not use it and enjoy it.
You buy a Vee for the experience of owning something special and a little different. If youre worried...
