To be honest, Im not one for overly loud exhausts - it might sound great for the first 10 minutes but you soon get tired of it. Depends how/how often you drive your car.
If youre that worried about it, fit a surveillance camera in the car, one of those Nokia cameras that sends pics back to you via MMS, or just a plain old tape recorder to record their antics on the "test drive".
Or, DaysofThunder style, fit a tell-tale rev counter/recorder which will tell you...
Why not...
a) ask to try a converted 172/182 to feel the power increase
b) ask how they know its a proven 200/210bhp increase i.e. ask for before and after RR evidence for the cars theyve done
