i was looking at these as a alternative to matching since i had them anyhow
surely the ph1 upper will need to.be matched to the rs lower or theres going to be a hell of a bottle neck
and if im having one matched i might aswell do both
only other option is tying to fit the tb the rs upper
i have everything cor the ph1 its still up and running
so the stamped lower from the cup will bolt straight onto the ph1 head?
any benefit in sending the ph1 uppers off for matching
from what i cam gather the 182 came with stamped inpets which didnt quite fit 172 head
i have a set of rs stamped inlet from a 172 cup (cups i believe where mostly rs stamped)
so do the cups have a different rs stamped inlet than the 182 or is it the same?
reason i ask is i was going...

can anyone confirm the rear axle width of the ph1 172 and 172 cup ?
im transplanting the subframe arms struts etc from my cup to my ph1 but as far as i can gather the ph1 rear axle is slightly wider or atleast its stub axles are thinner
did the ph1 and ph2 main axle differ at all ?
just bought a cup pack spoiler so iv now got all the ingredients to make a ph1 cup
just need to sell or move the cup engine scrap the shell and start dismantling the ph1,i cant start amything major outside the garage with a wife about to give birth once things have settled down il get...

im changing the cat anyway,whxh gpt me thinkingif ii use the 182 mani plus decat and swap my custom catback from.my ph2,it would compliment matched inlets nicelyor just swap the cat and catback over plus match inlets

havnt realy done anything to.the ph1 yet but have managed to get most of what i need from the cup off and other bits read to.go on

spray carb cleaner gently around amywhere it could leak air while its running and a change in engine note will show you your leak
1st port of call inlet mani to head and work back to airbox

17 tasks on my to do list before i think any further on boosting -mainly ph2 bits or cup bits swapped over/replaced
im fibbing actually got a full set of new engine mounts (some powerflex) with my cup as spares so theres another job

on my 172 i get 43mpg driving like a nun with 36psi-winter rolls along they drop circa 12psi each i couldnt get it past 30mpg regardless how i drove
its like giving your mate a piggy back and not expecting it to be much more difficult on your heart
