32-bit Vista will generally see 3.5GB of RAM tops, this is a limitaiton of 32-bit operating systems. Personally I use 3.5GB in Vista 32-bit, as the 64-bit version is known for much patchier driver releases and gaming performance isn't up to par.
Hi guys, i've just bought a Clio 187 which i'm picking up on Saturday, and am just interested in the modding potential of it later down the line after i'm used to the car and have had my fun at standard.
How much actual difference does for example the RS Tuning remap really make... 182-195bhp...
Hehe thanks mate I will!
Oh by the way I got a good quote from grenlight Insurance, do you reccommend these guys? Feature list seems pretty damn extensive regarding legal cover and hire cars etc:

Dear Mr Huge Wanger
Having received and referred your...
Just called them again as someone on another forum reminded me the timing belt needed doing at around 36k... so got them to arrange to swap that, and also give me a full tank of petrol when I collect. Bo! Brapapapapa. :D
Ahhh sorry I thought you were talking about your home PC being a Dell... but then I just noticed you said it was overclocked, so it can't be! You a member of any PC/Overlcocking forums then mate? :)
Just for the record in case it helps others i'll repeat the PM I sent to you earlier... if all else fails give ComboFix a try, it's very good http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix :)
Ouch you bought DDR3? Must have a loose wallet considering it's 5x the price of DDR2 with barely any benefits. :p
To be fair though at work we deal with XP machines that go tits-up all the time, I deal with them a few times a weekl, it's deifnately not Vista-specific! :)
So you were just cruising around a slow bend at 85 bend and it just "went"? I'm just not sure how it could do that without some sort of user intervention or mechanical fault.
I take it that you were flying around said bend at breakneck speed? Cars with handline like even a standard Clio 182 don't just don't "go" like that unless you are really pushing it.
Well another bit of good news... my dad being the amazing chap he is has out of the blue offered to pay a grand towards the new car (I did protest but he was having none of it, trust me) as it's my first "proper" car and he's happy for me... meaning that i'm effectively getting it for a grand...
Unfortunately half of the people complaining about Vista will give you this same answer. They don't know why they don't like it, they just do. Personally I think it's due to what I said before... you get use to things being done a certain way, and when it changes and you can't understand why...
Mine shuts down and starts up pretty damn quick... in fact significantly quicker than my year old XP installation which I did my best to keep relatively clean.
I tried Vista in its RC1 stage and really didn't get on with it, went back to XP and thought i'd delay Vista as long as possible. However, I installed it again a week ago and I have to say my experiences so far have been overwhelmingly positive... especially with SP1 installed.
I think the...
I know what you mean, me and my old man only ever usually buy private... but 12 months warranty, 1 years tax and a full service with a main dealer before it's released to me was too good to pass up! :D
I'm alwso wondering how long to keep it for before selling... it should hold at least £5.5k...
Black Gold mate, I didn't want any other colour hehe.
just out of interest I notice the ECU remaps only add 13bhp or so... are they really worth the £200 even if you get a good one?
Haha I tell you what... i'll be HPI'ing everything I bloody guy in future!
I'm picking it up next saturday so it isn't going anywhere till then... they have time to do a decent enough job! To be honest though as I said, the chips/curbing only one wheel) are so minor that all is needed to...
Guys do you think I should take the full 12-months warranty for the extra £295. With it the final price would be £7'290.
Do you think that's decent overall guys given the age of the car and it's low mileage/unmolested condition? Hell maybe it's not an uber-deal, but I feel very very...
Just got back in the house... been out on the road car-hunting all day!
Step-by step saga breakdown:

Phase 1
Turns out the original Clio 182 I was going to look at...
Hmm the thought of spending a grand extra on the CLio just below it in the list on my page, £6'995 2004 also in black from the dealer S & A Cars
Looks a much safer bet... it's this one here...
Phew... thought you meant it was discussed because it was dodgy in some way (besides the title description). To be honest though i've called the guy about it and if i'm being honest he doesn't seem the most naturally gifted communicator, but then again some people just aren't and I can't judge...
Hmm cheers for the replies, no I hadn't HPI checked it yet, have just texted the guy to ask if he can send me the reg plate so I can do an online check. The car is the 2nd one down on this list, advertised for £6'095...
