Save a little more and get some coilovers.
One of the best mod;s you can make to any car!
Sooooooooooooooooooo pleased with mine.
Feels like a different car.
Thanks to Andy and all the guy's at GDI for their hard work.
My car is spot on with regards to power and torque and idles perfectly now without cutting out after having those cam's installed.
Will be coming your way again!
(If I can raise some money as i'm a bit skint now) :rasp:
That will make your car a lot more free flowing. I'd recommend a viper induction kit, de-cat (silenced) and a custom exhaust. If you're looking to do further mods it would be best speaking to Andy @ GDI about an smt6 piggyback ecu which will allow the car to be remapped everytime you have a mod...
Why this is on? (petrol light with 1/4 of a tank left).
Clio sport 172 Mk2 ph1 (172 mk1)

FAO - ANDY @ GDI - do you know anything about this mate? I'm sure my petrol...
Rub down the paint thats on there at the moment back down to the original primer. Are you thinking of just spraying over the colour that's on there at the moment?
The different shades is probably to do with how the paint has aged on the car and over years some may give a lighter dull effect...
I told them i just want cover for the cat-back and I was going to take the de-cat off but not sure if I will.
Anyway... do you think its worth trying other insurers? Adrian Flux perhaps? Greenlight? Ashbourne Insurance? or are they all gonna be the same?
Just added the following mod's to my insurance.
Viper IK
S/S exhaust
Lowered suspension kit (coilovers)
At the start I only mentioned viper and s/s exhaust as im getting the coilovers done 2moro and it was an extra £92 per year. When I told them about the coilovers it shot up to £200 a year...
Very little damage to the golf and not that much to the clio.
New bumper, front left quarter panel, head light (may cost a bit).
Buy the panels, hire an air compressor and spray gun and try doing it yourself.
It was producing 166bhp as standard if I recall correctly. GDI did my inlet work.
It will be r/r'd tomorrow and i'll let you know the results and get some pic's of it dropped to the floor.
It was FK that were slow in getting these to john. Thanks for the phone call the other week though john and keeping me informed. Understand they went to the wrong address?
Cam's are just custom high torque billet's from Andy @ GDI. Think they were about £700 inc vat and postage.
Fitted for £180 through some mechanical lecturers @ college!
