i've ACTUALLY got a curve 8300, had it about 6 months, love it!
pushes my email through faultlessly, dont use the gps as i have sat nav but tested it once and it seemed much better than my previous n95 nokia maps rubbish.
all round great phone, theres a fair few apps available too.
no its basically a small laptop, it can word process, surf the net, play games etc like you can on a normal laptop but most last alot longer off charge and are obviously smaller making it easy to cart around :)

any other tips to cut down the os? i was looking forward to ubuntu eee 8.10 but i have heard the graphics on the 900's will be crap due to buggy software contained within 8.10.
think i might wait till 9.04?
its fine still got around 11gb free, thats with ubuntu eee installed and a fair few apps.
also got a 2gb sd card which is useful but you could stick a 16/32gb in it and double or triple your space and boot your os from that or boot apps from it too. :)
just noticed your other thread, if you can stretch to the 904HA thats a pretty good model too.

you can listen to mp3's and view jpegs etc on linux or xp/vista, there's usually linux alternatives or versions of software which you get for windows.
i bought an eee pc 2-3 weeks ago, never touched a linux machine before, but i'm converted :)
got rid of the restrictive xandros and installed...

forgot to add that, do all your drawing in model space, then set up how your drawing will be laid out and look once printed in paper space.
