Hes not got specific knowlege on the 182 but i know he has a 911 he looks after as well as a couple of mercs and his son has an audi s3 and a mini gp works, so theyre pretty used to working on hot hatches and performance cars.
Ive just come accross that seller on ebay, part of me is hoping hes...
I'm not sure what plugs are in tbh. Im going to have to check them when i get a spare morning just very busy at the min. Is it just a case of removing the engine cover and plenum and there they are on the 182?
Ive got a feeling its going to be the wrong plugs in, i thought it was when he said...
Hi guys,
Recently had my 182 serviced, at the service the garage told me the spark plugs were on their last legs and had changed them.
Ever since ive had the car back when cold its running like a bag of spanners, gets to just under 3000rpm and looses all power, its like the engine has put a...
random question, but how did you know your top mounts were shot exactly? im sure mine have been creaking a bit lately. but not 100% sure it is the top mounts.
car looks really good by the way.

Stainless steel and no louder than a standard system by all accounts.
Wouldnt buy another standard Renault system if i were you as rumor has it they are made of cheese and dont last 5mins...
Cup spoiler looks nice, makes the ph1 look alot less dated with the ph2 mods. You enjoying going from a 1.2 to 2.0?
I went from a 1.2 clio to a focus st170 then to a clio 182 and still enjoyed the extra power the 182 had over the st170 so can imagine what it must be like coming from a 1.2.
I...
My 182 does this aswell, more so when the roads are wet its like you can hear the wheel slipping.

apparently that is the solution although you may need to remove them come mot time as you can fail for one reason or...
try direct line mate
im 22 with 2yrs ncb theyve insured me and the mrs (21) for £800 inc legal protection. Without her and legal it would have been £740
Yeah, think to do the cambelt they have to slacken the aux belt. In which case they recomend that you dont re-tension it as it will be weaker, better to replace it with a fresh belt.
Yeah i like cruise control. Tried the speed limiter and tbh it was dire i was expecting to be able to nail it to say 70 and then for the car to just stop. However i found that it seemed to lower the limiter of the car to a little over 5k iirc
I was hoping to be able to absolutely thrash it upto...
Yeah cambelt doesnt need doing until 72k/5 years which ever comes first as said above.
On my old 1.2 it cost me £260 (inc vat, inc labour) to have the cambelt done, that was including me being conciencous and having the water pump, all tensioners and aux belt replaced which ofcourse also meant...
What i will say is at £3k my car sold very quickly, put it up on the Tuesday, got a call on Friday, sold on Saturday. Maybe i sold a tad under priced (My car had also had recent cambelt, aux belt, water pump, tensioners, full service, 4x tyres less than 3months old, new leads and plugs) at the...
i sold my 2001 expression+ (had a/c) for £3000 with my stereo and half a tank of petrol about 12months ago.
Yours is obv. a better spec model so imo it sounds a fair asking price maybe expect to get £100-£200 knocked off that
Personally if i had £9k to spend id rather have a "bog basic" 197 than a FF 182.
However if you want to spend a bit less on a motor and have some cash left over for a rainy day then youll easily have a 182 and change left over out of £7k.
I personally cant afford a 197 at the min (still an...
Tyre Traders will do 4 for £461.77 delivered then get them fitted at local tyre center for £5 tyre.
So say £480 all in, only £20 saved im afraid though but still.
Good luck
Was just about to post this in reply to fubar's question. After alot of messages being passed to and fro the seller eventually agreed to a refund as "I'm fed up with u moaning".
I agree £12 is quite cheap however they could have been £2 and i wouldnt have bought them in that condition if i had...
Seller is now claiming another clip has been broken on the return carriage of the badges. Whilst i accept that this could have happened i cant help but feel that had the seller been upfront in the first place then this would all have been avoided.
ST170 at 21, 182 when i was 22. Both were exactly the same premium of £957.
Now im 22 insurance has dropped to £741 on my own, but chose to add my girlfriend on the policy which took it to £780.
Just a point on the fuel consumption, i find that my 182 is far better than my 1.2 16v was on fuel.
On a motorway run it was average over 40mpg. Around town/mixed driving i tend to get somewhere between 30-35mpg depending on my driving.
That gives me around 300miles to a tank (full to...
Auto set to 21degrees in winter on a hot day i tend to drop it to around 19.
Perfection. The climate control seems to be one thing renault got right imo
