Cooling fan doesn't run on a 182 when your mapping mate. only the mk3 clio (197 shape) but you can stop that by removing the fan relay. Just back your ecu up, go for a good drive to charge the battery and then write the new map to your ecu :)

Roads are horrble at the moment. Ive certainly knocked the pace down over the last few days. Seen a fair few stacked motors and also felt the car slip a little even at low speeds.

What happens to the passenger airbag in the event of it deploying on a flocked dash? Surely the flocking prevents it from deploying fully?

Is there any point for your car Ryan? Surely it needs mapping on a rolling road as opposed to being done with a handheld device?

Hi, If i reprogramme my ecu using an rst file with rs tuner, am i right in thinking that i then don't have to do a calibration with a cal file? Which is generally the best map to use? (presuming my ecu is the correct version to be used with your recomendation) Thanks, Russ

Rear shock absorbers leaking is a common fault. Might want to check them out when buying.

The car is due a cambelt change at 5 yrs/72k. Whichever comes first. So it's 5 yrs from whenever your car was first registered. It is possibly due in March as your on an 04 plate. Im having mine changed next month at Birchdown who arent a million miles away from you...

To be fair. Thats very true. I took the advice and upgraded from a 1.2 to a 182. Job Done. 100+bhp more. You cant get that through even the biggest modifications on a 1.2

I'm actually really impressed with the old dear this year. I very briefly mentioned a foam lance to her but didn't say much more as i thought she'd end up getting me a karcher one from Halfords or something along them lines however i unwrapped the following this morning.... A CYC foam lance...

Think RS Tuning offer a remap on the 1.2 16v which gives approx 10% more power. Takes power to around the 83-84bhp mark. Not sure what other mods the car in question had.

that is a damn fine example of a 182. One im very jelous off. All mods are simple but highly effective. Only thing i dont like on it is the rb 2.0 badges

Love the Astra coupes. I was seriously close to buying a turbo rather than my 182. The only thing that put me of was i read LOTS of reviews saying the turbos have a habbit of going pop at 60k lol Lovely looking motor though mate.
