hehe reminded me of that thing about the Americans when they couldnt find a pen that their astronauts could write with in space... so they spent hundreds of thousands of $$$ inventing the ultimate ballpoint pen, that would write upside-down, underwater, in extremes of heat and cold, in a vacuum...
240bhp turbo conversion, 325mm 4-pot brakes, set of 17" OZ Chronos, maybe a pair of Cobra Evo seats, roll cage and harnesses...nothing at all for myself, just stuff for the Clio!
Actually I did get one of those fancy Nokia camera phones today so I can join in with the photographing the speedo...
Too bad Bill my friend, I really feel for you there...you gotta catch em red handed. Like John and I did when he was over mine a couple of weeks ago, we heard some glass smashing down my street and saw a gang of blazing squad style youths ambling off as if they were some kind of untouchables...
The blue thingy that was being described is known in the trade as a Scotchlock. Or a bodgelock in other words, but it will do the job for what you want. Just find the wire that supplies the 12v when you touch the brake pedal. Chop into this with the scotchlock and run this wire up to the 3rd...

hehe Im totally lost, I missed this thread cos I thought it was about the old one with the green pug on the front. So put me straight - is there a new issue out and when did it come out? I cant make head nor tail of these posting dates, they seem to be all over the place!

The Williams boxes are brand new off the line in France. Dont even think of getting a recon job, go to Renault and pay £550 + VAT. But if you want a short box, you need to look at the less powerful Clios, something out of a 1.2 or 1.4 will give you the sprinting capability you need. Even if it...

Williams box is a straight swap, no mods required. It is slightly tougher but also has a slightly longer final drive - good for 150mph+ in a 16v if you have enough power I reckon.
Steve, most people I can think of (whove mucked about with the ignition) use Magnecor leads. The original Renault leads (made by Bougicord) are actually a lot better than most aftermarket silicone leads and Magnecor use the same internal design, just with better suppression, and proper silicone...

LOL yeah thats a good suggestion Simon! Glad we are back to sensible discussions again where we can agree to disagree.
Ben how I LOLed when you wheeled out the old straw example again, I was wondering how long it would take mate. BTW youre a racing geezer, what do you reckon about spending...
Right next item - Im looking at a 6 point bolt-in cage, all the big manufacturers do them for the phase 1 Clio, OMP, Sparco, Safety Devices etc. But the question is what sort of a job is it to fit a 6 point cage. Assuming all the rear will be stripped out, what else needs to be moved? Are they...
lol no im 510 so no midget, but I just dont like to be sat too low in a car with no steering wheel height adjustment! So I wanna be at the same height as I am usually. I was gonna have the driver and co-driver name stitched on but Clio Turbo is a nice idea too. So Malice I get the idea you...
Errr...well Ive done it on a track day, *really* pushing the car hard through a sharp chicane in pouing rain. Thats quite an acheivement to be able to get that out of shape on the Queens Highway at 35mph! Id check your suspension out if I were you, either it was very icy or theres something...

this gets better and better- big thanks for all the help everyone! OK dunno whether I mentioned it in another thread but these seats aint going in for looks...Im thinking of lightness, safety and support mainly. My phase 1 valver seats are superb but when youre really hooning it around you can...
Purple was never a Renault colour at the time. Its obviously b****cks, but just for a bit of fun, whoevers going to see it, ask to see the limited edition Renault paint code on the VIN plate.
