Goin going to be fitting cobra seats soon,do my question is do the seat belt clips that are fitted to the original seats come off and can they then be attactched to the floor or new subframe? I'll be buying harnesses pretty soon but just for the meantime I'd like to use the standard belts.
Is French car magazine or performance French car magazine still available? Used to always get it when I had the valver but can't seem to find it anymore.
thats a brilliant result mate, im running matched inlets,k&n replacement filter and soon with a 182 maifold, decat and ktec stealth.just need a remap. id be happy with that result, where did you go for your map?

Anyway this thread has gone off topic a bit, manifolds. Lol ,good source of info though so thanks for all your input
What I mean is that an rs2 is more usable through more of the rev range, the graphs show this, when an rs2 was fitted with cams there was a big drop in torque in the midrange, like I say hopefully there will be a good development where they work very well together.
I'm more interested in staying in the power for longer,as in... Cams tend to give greater power at higher revs (great in a race car) where as an rs2 comes in alot early and retains near peak power for a longer duration,I would deffinately think about fitting cams but with an rs2 and once more...
What colour is rb then? I'm not clued up at all on the abbreviated paint names? The only matte colour I like is the blue on the 182 cup (the blue with the optional stripes)
I think I'll stick with the rs2,I would think someone will develop a set of cams that compliment the rs2 soon,I understand that it's designed and works best with standard cams but not sure which cams have been tested with it???
Not at all mate,it's gonna be done professionally by a family member so got a good deal,it needs doin especially the roof and whole front end, plus idiots in car parks have put a few scrapes in the doors,I'd rather have the whole car sprayed to save the hassle of slight differences in colour.
Im planning on going down the rs2 route, just a case of waiting for it to be developed, I already have a stainless 182 manifold but I'm wondering if it's worth all the hassle to fit it for the advantages and disadvantages I'll get,I know that fitting it will give a bit more low end bhp/torque and...
I've come to a decision... Respray in original titanium then add a few bits like phase 2 door strips and possibly tail lights and cup spoiler,oh and nearly forgot my new rs Renault sport badge for the back.
Cams? Really? I wouldn't see gains like you do with an rs2 though and the rs2 runs best with standard cams.what kind of gains would you expect from cams and which are best? Not something I've looked into yet.
I don't use it and it looks better without, plus the kit replaces all the pulleys to lightweight ones, less rotational mass and worth about 3-4 bhp per tonne,it all adds up ;)
