I've started picking up freelance work (Graphic Designer) so it's very hard coming from a lovely 27" at work to a tiny 13" at home. So will be used for the Creative Suite mainly, with general use too. That LG one looks nice, this BenQ one has had good reviews too.

I'd love the 27" Thunderbolt display but limited funds don't allow it, does anyone on here use an external monitor with their MacBook's? The screen size doesn't have to be huge and obviously the cheaper the better. I've seen this budget Samsung 21.5" one, any thoughts on it?

Doesn't mean much but a quick before and after read & write speeds. Before After Just timed the after start up time, got 13.75 seconds to the login menu. Unfortunately I didn't get a before time recorded but it was at least 40 seconds, massive difference.

Just finished installing mine @Brazo, super easy to do. The longest part was waiting for my time machine back-up to transfer over. I've done a clean install of the OS and the boot up time is crazy now, so much quicker.

I think you may need to format it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) before you install it. EDIT: After watching that video it looks as though you can format it after it's been installed which is a bonus, I ordered mine last week so I'm hoping it gets here soon so I can install it.

A little bit late now but I've just pressed the button on a Crucial 240gb M500 SSD (£85 delivered), it has had good reviews on several sites I've read and on others some not so good. Does anyone have a Crucial SSD on here, any thoughts?
