    Not happy!

Went for a drive with my mate tonight and whilst travelling back over from Cadishead to Irlam along the cadishead way I noticed a massive patch of white paint. I had no choice but to drive through it as my mate was behind me and there was other cars on the otherside of the road. Got home to...

+1 Think it would of been kinder to it, if it fell in that canal and drowned to be honest.

    Window Wiper stalk caught fire

LOL! I was mainly referring to that problem but I had that sorted a while ago now.

    Window Wiper stalk caught fire

French electrics performing at their very best again I see lol. Never heard of that before on any car and I've had some strange electrical issues with mine in the past.

    Squealing Noise on Cold Start

Mine does the same after it's been stood over night and when I fire it up for the 1st time. It's only started doing it since the cold damp weather has hit us so I'm inclined to think it's down to what you've mentioned.

Problems with your UCH? Look here.

I know, I just noticed the date after I'd posted lol. Yeah, I was even looking at trying to get a 2nd hand UCH and fitting it myself but what I was told several times is it's not just a plug and play job. Apparently it needs coding to your car, hence the reason I let Renault do the job. Oh...

    Intermittent wiper

Think I have a problem with the stalk, the intermittent wiper doesn't work on all the settings. It'll work on two of the fastest settings but if I have it set on the lower speed settings the wipers never come on. Everything else works on the stalk, i.e normal wiper, fast wiper, rear wiper, water...

Problems with your UCH? Look here.

Wish this info was available a few months ago. I had to have a new UCH due to my right indicator being constantly on and never canceling off. Not sure exactly how much it set me back because I had other work done as well but it was in the region of £350-£380. Edit: Just noticed the date it...

STOP and oil warning lights, but oil level fine.

Has the oil been changed since you was told 5w40 was the wrong oil grade? Or do you still have the same oil in?

    Seized rear wiper!!

You might get an advisory if it's not working because I've had advisories just for having a split rubber on the rear wiper in the past.

    dirt cheap ph1 172

Is it straight? i.e not a cat C/D. If so that's a bargain.

    looking for exhaust info

Pretty expensive route to take though for little gains. £200+ for a 2nd hand manifold, £200/£250 for the sports cat + fitting (unless you do it yourself).

    looking for exhaust info

When I have the decat on? Very loud lol. So loud is was impossible to live with hence why I don't have it fitted most of the time.

    looking for exhaust info

When I put my decat on I got the occasional pop from it. Saying that though I can get mine to pop with just the cat back fitted.

Help my car is dead and won't start

When mine wouldn't start, there was nothing there at all, the lights came up on my dash, imobliser would disarm but when I tried to start it there was nothing at all, wouldn't even crank. Just got a clicking noise from the starter. Mine started off just doing it occasionally, it gradually got...

Help my car is dead and won't start

When it does decide it doesn't want to start, do you just get a clicking from the engine bay? If so it'll be a starter motor issue, mine was exactly the same.

how do i make my car louder?

Haha! I know, I know, I was just playing. Love the noise Yozzas make but it's the tailpipe sticking out at the bottom of the bumper that puts me off them.

how do i make my car louder?

Lol. It's a good job you didn't hear mine when mine was decatted then. :rasp: King of chavs might have been the title used. lol

how do i make my car louder?

Take a trip to ProSpeed and they could knock one up for you? or as suggested give K-tec a ring and see if they have anything available.

how do i make my car louder?

Take the cat, centre section and back off and drive around like that, that's sure to make it louder ;) Another option is to decat it.

    I'm considering Mintex 1144's - BUT...

Agreed! I've got DS2500 pads and they do produce alot of brake dust and doesn't take long before my wheels are filthy. I just keep on top of them and make sure I clean the dust off regular and my wheels appear to be fine. I've heard the Mintex pads are suppose to of similar performance as the...

Gutted to hear that mate. So frustrating when some idle b*****d does it. Mine's carrying a few scars from shopping car parks.

    0w40 engine oil

Yeah and the 40 is the viscosity when the oil is hot inside the engine apparently. I'm pretty clueless what all the figures mean to be honest lol. Just make sure I use the right grade and stick it in and hope for the best :o
